Should immigrants with no contributable/relevant skills nor education in addition to having
criminal records be prohibited from entering the United States? Ought there be implementation of very stringent standards as to who should immigrate to the United States?
People with any sort of serious criminal record should obviously not be allowed in. Young people even without skills or education are actually usually a good investment, immigrants tend to work hard and more importantly their children statistically get the best grades and consequently their careers add tremendously to the economy. Also allowing people in on humanitarian grounds is a moral act.
More importantly tight restriction just causes illegal immigration which means we can't do health checks etc. and it is just not financially viable to prevent it.
When one has no education/skills in this postmodern society, they haven't anything significant to add to the economy.Immigrants should only be allowed in if they had relevant skills/educations suitable to America. There should be TIGHTER restrictions.
These are rules that are already on the books. They need to be enforced. Making new ones won't help if they carry no weight.
Make the rules reasonable and they can be enforced the current laws are just un-viable cost wise and not even possible to enforce.
Their children get the educations that's why they are valuable it just takes less short sightedness.
As we take a look at the big picture. All the problems on the outside are already on the inside. And if you were to go to another country to live they would have their own problems and situations.
One day their will be all united as one no division .

Your comments lack merit and fact and appear to be based on a feel good altruism. We are 17 trillion dollars in debt. Half of the population is on welfare. 90 million are out of work
and the list goes on.

America? Don't they see that illegals are going to exhaust our social, medical, and health services? Furthermore, since these illegals have no contributable skills nor education, many are going to be on welfare and we have enough people on welfare already without adding more to...

What exactly do you want your tax dollars going to?Everyone wants to complain about what they DON'T want their tax dollars going to. No helping the poor, no welfare, no healthcare, no immigrants, no big companies, no politicians, and so on. So my question is what exactly do you want your tax...
