You know, I never liked Jay Leno till I read his quote on Obama from his talk show.

Jay said, "That's pretty amazing, Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Ironically, his biggest accomplishment as president so far: winning the Nobel Peace Prize."

    Hahahaha...sooooo true!

Someone needs to tell this celebrity we call a president to DO SOMETHING other than give another speech!

NBC allowed this to happen? Leno may want to have someone check under his car.

That's not the only startling line from NBC.  I was watching 30 Rock last night, and Alec Baldwin's character, Jack Donaghy, actually uttered the line, "...Comrade Obama's recession."  To say I was startled would be an understatement.

No, I'm not saying Obama caused the recession (check the timeline, duh), though if McCain/Palin had won I'd sure 'nuff still be trucking in Colorado since that was connected to the energy driling industry and all.  But what I AM saying is that I have to agree with the thought that some of the media outlets (such as network comedy) are letting stuff get "out there" that probably wouldn't have happened earlier.  For whatever reason.

Could possibly be coincidence, though.  The Jack Donaghy character is one of those big-bonus corporate executives who might very well think in those terms, so....

If we had a million + people keep all they could on their paychecks throughout the year and come April, not pay in their taxes, would this not be a way to stop the Government from spending? This would continue until a panel of non-partisan members worked on getting things back to where we need to be as a country. Then the country votes the bills and issues in, not the congress, who have unhealthy agendas. I am not against taxes, only when my money is recklessly spent. My belief is that if a movement like this got started, you would see millions upon millions participating and therefore, the Government couldn't pursue us all and have no choice but to act, if they want us paying our taxes again. I feel helpless because irrational people are running things, and unless something radical takes place, like dumping tea in the harbor, we will continue down the road of financial ruin and Socialism.
Please respond because I value your judgment. I am discontent and have been to the Tea party event here in Tulsa. But there seems to be no real way to stop a Government, who has set their face like a flint, to bring about Socialism, ignoring why America became a nation in the first place.

My name is Shannon Beck. Tea in the Harbor
         Tulsa, Oklahoma.

What'dya mean he hasn't done anything? Our national debt is now four trillion. That's more debt than ALL of our previous 43 presidents accumulated all together.

    That's quite an accomplishment!

It seems as though even the liberal media and celebrities that normally bow at his feet are catching on to the fact that he's all talk and no action.

I remember when Bill Clinton gave David Letterman secret poisons that simulate the side effects of a heart attack to put a stop to all those blow job jokes.  Unfortunately, his own cabal of doctors were able to employ the counter serum in time.  A quick cover story and a few weeks off was all it took for it to die down.

Ever since, comedians have been on the ready. The politicians had tipped their hand and they wouldn't be caught with their pants down twice. The hired guild of assassins and ninja employed to protect all Late Night television personalities should be enough to counter B. Hussein Obama's dastardly revenge attempts.

I have to admit am pretty upset with his silence regarding Health Care. He would not take a stand. But I cant say if it is strategy or a  lack of backbone yet. I know for a fact that since he took office some gay military personnel have been thrown out. There is no defense to that. Still, Since he did save us from a DEPRESSION, I'm willing to see if he steps up on some issue. Any issue!...People like me turned out and put him in office and gave him everything he needs to do his job. Now it's his turn to stand up and deliver. I'll wait a little while longer.

Jay Leno is a comedian. Comedian's make jokes about everyone. They make fun of people of all political persuasions. I don't see the big deal about it. If you start taking what a comedian says as being a reflection on how all of society feels you are sadly mistaken. They may talk about things in the news and what others are talking about and make jokes about it, that is all.

Timmy, maybe you can list your many accomplishments thus far, show everyone how its' really done!  Tell us all about your selfless service to the US community.  Oh...are those crickets I hear?  Any more from the peanut gallery or those who just stand on the sidelines and watch?

Len, people like us turned out to put this man in office, now we, the same people, have to have a little patience. Do you think the healthcare system, the state of the economy, world relations, etc...were broken overnight?  Normally things that get broken take at least twice the amount of time to fix.  Think of it like this, you drop a vase and it breaks into a million little pieces, as you try to put all the pieces back together, someone next to you keeps grabbing your hands, poking at you, etc...you will find it may take you a bit longer than desired.  Good Lord, it's only been 8 - 9 monthes, barely enough time to have a baby.  Our president has inherited a bunch of crap, now he needs our support to find solutions, not band aids! Don't be suckered in by the "immediate satisfaction" demon, we are talking long term solutions.

And while he should be repairing the broken vase he is campaigning for an office he already holds.

it's getting late and I'm signing off but just read this and wanted to add~~ it's seems from my perspective that many people for some unimaginable reason want Obama to perform miracles, wave the magic wand and heal every ill and implement every change in his first year of office.  it's sic to me that so many Americans want him to fail. the children who hear all the whiners and complainers are the ones it will hurt the most.
what are we teaching our young children? hmm

Kinda makes you wonder if a year or two from now, they'll still be saying "Give him time, this stuff wasn't broken over four years, it'll take time to fix it".
