Do you think women will band together to boycott sponsors of Rush Limbaugh?

He has taken his statements against women too far this time.  Normally I say don't feed the trolls, but this one has a large enough audience that he is dangerous.  Women who use contraceptives are not sluts - his comments about this, sex tapes, and aspirin between the knees are beyond insulting and he should face the consequences.  Will you boycott this "mans" sponsors?

I think he has lost four sponsors already today. Cleveland cavaliers, Quicken Loans, Sleep Number, and the Sleep Train. I don't know how many sponsors he has, but you may not have to.

This is one of the better links I found with a list of his sponsors: http://malialitman.wordpress.com/2012/0 … augh-show/

I would confirm before boycotting. Oreck, for instance, is on this list, but I think they have put out a statement saying they do not advertise on his show.

Gusser Freedom of Speech does not include slander which is illegal.  Not only did Rush call this woman names, he also misrepresented her stance.  She was testifying for women to have birth control pills covered for medical issues. This was due to a friend who had ovarian cysts and later lost an ovary because the insurance she had would not cover her treatment.  She never said it was so she can have all the sex she wants.

Should Westboro Baptist Church be allowed to protest funerals then? Under your logic all speech should be protected even if it is harmful and inflammatory? Our soldiers are fair game then I guess huh?

lburmaster - I don't even know what to say.  Calling someone a slut is not "criticism" it's abusive.  An intelligent young woman who wants to state her side of an issue is not "pathetic".  What is rather pathetic is a woman justifying this mans attack of another woman.  ALL women should find this offensive because it is what certain men do to try to silence women.  Even if you don't agree with her I can't wrap my mind around how you think it's ok that he said what he did.  As for stop being a feminist? Never!  YOU have the right to vote because of feminists.  If you want to live in a country that crushes feminism go to Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia.  Real men can accept women as equals - not superior or lesser than but equals.  Real men can have an honest, intelligent debate with a woman they disagree with without resorting to name calling and bullying.   If women were in charge we'd be run by neurotics? wow.  I think your thoughts on woman kind are what's horrifying.

I also might add to this answer that this woman was not asking for the government to "give her birth control" just that the insurance that she pays for be mandated to cover all medication.  Insurance covers viagra - why should it not cover birth control? Lets take away middle aged mens viagra off of insurance and see how quickly they protest!

98% of women in the US have used contraceptives - does that make us all "sluts" too? good grief.

I do hope women and men alike will band together and boycott sponsors of Rush. I'm also disappointed in Romney and Santorum not defending women as well. What has this world come to?

The movement has already started and hopefully it will not lose steam.  Mr. 4 times married Rush. who is no Prince Charming, has essentially acted as a "John" buying his young attractive wives and he is a known drug abuser and now his sage advice is to put aspirins between a woman's legs? He is a hate monger, a sexist, a blowhard and suffers from homophobia and it is high time they (sponsors) pull the plug on his nastiness.

Forget about "women" - how about just anyone who wants to take a stand against vulgarity?  Rush is a disgrace to the advancement of human race and certainly not someone who deserves airtime which is paid for by his sponsors.

Only backward, ignorant caveman would find anything he says humorous.

Don't hold your breath on conservative standing up for women -- they dream of the good old days when women stayed in the kitchen and made them sandwiches.

I can only hope so. I know that I will never, EVER buy a product whose manufacturer sponsors bigotry.
