Does ethnicity really matter?  Or is there a race agenda here?

Well apparently Harvard Law School has listed her as a Minority-Native American Professor. What is getting everyone's attention here in MA is that she may have used the minority status to qualify for set asides. Therefore, is she a Native American?

    Technically, yes. Practically, no.
That's like saying "this ring is made of 4 karat gold!" No, that's not gold, that's copper when there's that little gold in the mix.

I think she should be able to claim Native American ancestry, but I wouldn't consider her a Native American. I do not know if there is a standard for degrees of separation from the ethnic ancestor.

No, I don't think so. If we were to undergo DNA tests , we would find that most of us are a mix of many ethnicities. If you found a sprig of grass in the desert, would you claim it to be a prarie? I think this is unimportant in the scheme of things.

The big kerfuffle here in Massachusetts is did she use her 1/32nd Native American heritage to qualify for special consideration as a minority and if she did was she entitled to do so. It's an interesting issue from my perspective.

Whether or not Warren is 1/32 Cherokee Indian is unknown, however I do know that woman is a blithering idiot. She is merely a stunning example of why America is on the cusp of collapsing. And if she is representative of the "best and brightest" America has to offer -- it is a wonder we have lasted this long.

But I believe that Warren proves that the American system of capitalism, within the framework of a Republic, shows that even though Americans are intellectually no better than the rest of the world -- it is only via a superior political and economic system in which the 1 percent have the intellect and drive to succeed who actually forced America into a position of greatness. Hence the 99 percent benefited by the exploits and desires of the 1 percent.

Well... 1/32nd also means that she is 96.875% non-Native American.

I think she just fell prey to basic legal reasoning which goes something like this; it doesn't matter if it is right or wrong. It only matters if it defensible vs indefensible.
