Does Anyone else enjoy "alone" time?

Does anyone else ever get in the mood to be alone for just one day? I love having "alone" time but the way I work and the people around me make it very difficult.

Yes, I understand exactly what you're saying and I'm in the same predicament, so when I actually find myself "alone", I'm exhilirated!!!! Those moments are few and far between though!

I used to crave alone time when raising my kids.  My husband worked at home so it was rare when I had the house to myself.  I would be so excited if the kids were in school and he had to go out of town for the day. It seemed luxurious.

Now that I am older, kids grown, husband retired, I don't like being alone that much anymore.  Strange because I have always been a loner.

I'm sure when all of my kids are grown and on their own, one is gone to college, I'll probably go nuts with alone time. But it's nice and far between when I get it now. I have an 8 year old son and a 16 year old daughter at home right now.

As an introvert, alone time is an absolute necessity for me.  Some people don't understand my need for alone time, but those who know me well know I need my "me" time in order to be my whole self.

I can understand your ways. Sometimes being alone is critical in having a balance.

I love alone time. But sadly unless I leave the house it ain't going to happen. Just the idea of not having to deal with anyone else for a few hours is bliss.

I know exactly how you feel. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's heaven.

We do what we have to to get our time alone. We all need that solitary moment to just unwind and relax.

My husband is disabled and always home. My daughter is homeschooled and always at home. I CRAVE alone time. I have lived in this house for three years and never have been alone in it. I go for walks at night just to be alone for a minute.
