Who is more dangerous--ISIS or right-wing Christians?
Yes, this is a serious question. I've read enough articles and comments on the internet where people are seriously saying this. Does anyone on here really agree with that statement?
To me personally? right-wing Christians. They are probably a thousand times more likely to harm me than is ISIS.
Now, to someone in the Middle East, I'm not sure. At the moment probably ISIS, but considering how many right-wing Christians seem to love war, and were partly responsible for the past decade+ of our wars (along with the huge pile of people we have murdered in so doing), it is hard to say. Not to mention that one could argue that we are partly to largely responsible for ISIS in the first place...
And aside from actually going out and directly killing people, the way that some right-wing Christians want to inhumanely treat fellow human beings (e.g. immigrants, women, minorities, etc.) makes them very dangerous.
Extremists of any religion or religious based organization are the danger facing average humans.
Extremists want to KILL you for not thinking the way that they think. No one should be able to control another person's thoughts. Every religious text in the world seems to agree that you have your own choices to make.
Extremists tend to believe that you have no choice. You MUST think a certain way, behave a certain way, worship a certain way, or simply never question your own free will.
This is what is dangerous. Both right-wing, Fundamentalist Christians and extremist Muslims desperately want to CONTROL your minds, thoughts, and deeds. And they want your money and land.
Those are the clues you are looking at. Any group that wants to control you, your behavior, your money, your faith, your obedience. Run Away!
All religious extremists are dangerous, whether they're Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or any other faith. Most extremists have a "my way or the highway" approach that assumes if you don't believe as they do, you should have fewer rights than those who do. (Or, no rights at all, in some cases.)
There is no common denominator between these two to make a comparison.
One is a terrorist, and the other is a political supporter.
The real danger is when people think that one political party has the solutions for the country.
A political supporter who kills for their beliefs (no more baby parts, pro-life my motive) is a terrorist. No difference whatsoever. And a political party that spurs it on I will add.
I kiinda think there is a big difference.
Think about the differences.
We can change Roe v Wade, but we have no control over terrorists that kill civilians.
Dear isn't worried about Roe v Wade. He's worried about "baby parts" and prez Obama...like a lot of Repub candidates for prez. He killed for others not holding his beliefs. If you think shooting gun at people isn't terror, I don't know what is.
Both are examples of religious extremism.
Right, but as Brad said, we can change Roe v. Wade. Personally I think ISIS is more of a threat, there are more of them willing to kill us or die to kill us, whereas Right wing people just talk. And yeah, once in a blue moon, a guy kills others.
What ISIS is in USA? Whereas, Christian Extremists are everywhere. On school boards, every level of government. And Catholic hospitals can refuse to treat you, even if you're dying. They rather women die to save a fetus. Brood mares or prison. My kids!
ISIS is made up of paid mercenaries. In fact, they are defecting now that Putin cleaned their clock. Even saw article where the men dressed up as women to try and escape. The real terrorists are the ones behind ths scenes of ISIS. And that in-my-opinion-to-my-way-of-seeing-things are Right Wing Judeo-Christians.
ISIS soldiers kill for money. ISIS creators kill for land, resource and regime change.
Really--it's about the oil again, and the supply chain: who will get it. The creators just like using Islam as a front--so you'll all hate them, and ignore the real instigators. And--as we can clearly see by their silence, Christians care nothing for the women and police who were just shot up by a pro-lifer. Not one word has been said about that terror attack from them. Silence=Consent.
Anyone seeking to control lives not their own is a danger: why they do it is another matter. Doing it for conquest, like CIA/Mossad types is expected...that's what they do. That can be stopped with weapon-power.
Doing it because you think you have the right to control others based on your beliefs.....that's a mental illness, imo. Not kidding. Get help. You live how you see fit, leave others alone! That is the real danger we face. Especially when killing people for going against your beliefs seems to be condoned by the very people who cry about ISIS.
Of course any radical/extremist group using the guise of Religion to justify murder, rape, ethnic cleansing..etc....is as dangerous as is possible to the people of this world. It's fairly clear we can't get any less human than to have absolutely no respect for life itself. To be able to savagely brutalize & kill total strangers who are innocently going about their daily lives requires a total lack of conscience, morals& humanity
These individuals are severely mentally deranged.
Regardless of the alleged "beliefs" they claim to follow...whatever book they wave around to prove they are blessed by God Himself and commit atrocities in His name....they're plainly & simply psychotic lunatics, preying like wild animals of the jungle.
They're ALL dangerous, not to mention sick, twisted, deranged & completely ignorant. Isis, The Crusaders, dictators who order ethnic cleansing, The Westboro Baptist Church & similar churches, Abortion clinic bombers, murderers of Drs who provide abortion.....Complete nut cases like Jim Jones, David Koresh, Warren Jeffs......Hitler, Stalin.Al-queda, Hamas.....a long list of stark-raving mad, blood thirsty, scum of the earth SICKOS. L-U-N-A-T-I-C-S......
News flash.....They've existed since the beginning of time and always will.
We can try to fight them, protect ourselves, use high tech security measures, but they WILL exist somewhere in this world in one form or another....I know this and so do you........
Unfortunately, such questions are apparently taken seriously by some unhappy people. However, I find these questions offensive---not to mention ignorant. Those who suggest that ISIS is similar to Christianity are using a very thinly veiled form of hate speech to "grind a personal axe," probably from their childhood. Such propaganda has no place here---as far as I am concerned.
I highly encourage anyone here to write the General Manager when they see these offensive questions published on Hubpages. The more people who have the courage to stand up and insist upon quality questions, the less (hopefully) we'll have to see of this stupidity. Much more benign questions are deleted for no discernible reason that I can see, yet this drivel is allowed to stand.
At any rate, I presume that in some peoples minds, they key word here is "right wing," as if all of the "right wing" consists of thugs and murderers like ISIS. If some individuals want to believe that, I would recommend they research ISIS and Christians much more thoroughly---before they ask these hateful questions, thereby making themselves look even more foolish than they already are.
Christians are NOT in the same category as ISIS. I apologize in advance for the vile reports listed below, but apparently, there are those who just don't get it---Christians don't do that crap.
(I am not referring to you, Lolita.) I know you find these questions as ridiculous as I do. I am thankful for that.

Should people who say liberals hate America be reported too?
I SO regret clikng on links!.I'm in no condition to handle anxiety & more grief.Savvy, U say Lolita finds these questions ridiculous? SHE ASKED THE QUESTION! R U confused or am I??
I believe she was saying that these questions are asked "as if they are serious." I hated the links too, but That's why I apologized first. But, I decided to make the point---Christians are not committing these atrocities.
I see..I guess.Wish she'd have worded it differently. Links R horrific & grotesque!! "As dangerous?more? less? Bloodier? more insane? I see ALL lunatic radical extremists as "DANGEROUS" in ALL ways, to sane, rational & peaceful masses.ALL PSY
Paula, we cannot hide our eyes from The truth. The pictures are there to educate. If we refuse to see Isis for what it is, we will continue to do nothing---like this country has for the past 4 years. ISIS and Christianity are at opposite ends.
CORRECT! Not comparing a "savage group" to "Believers in Christ!!" 2 separate things. My comment was & REMAINS: ALL RADICAL EXTREMISTS ( WHOever they are) ARE DANGEROUS TO ALL OF HUMANITY. Not comparing. Stating my opinion. I even LISTED some.
I was not judging your answer, but merely responding to our interaction together. All hatred is destructive---that is for sure.
ISIS. Easy answer. They murder, rape, and destroy. Your question asked about "right-wing Christians." Are you seriously asking if true followers of Christ are dangerous? That answer is, no. If you meant to say "radically violent extremist so called Christians," then I suppose that would bring some validity to the question. Anyone can claim to be anything, but that doesn't make it so.
A "right-wing" Christian, as I understand the term implies that those individuals are generally more conservative in values, more interested in following the teachings of Christ in the Bible, than say, their more socially liberal counterparts on "the left." The teachings of Christ, do not include murdering, raping, and destroying the homes and businesses of others.
Qital is Arabic for Combat, and while not the word Kill, it can be implied that combat means there will be killing.
Combat versus Kill is wordplay. The extremists create the West as putting them on the defensive so that combat that enemy of Islam
