What is the hard answer to 'unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office' as POTUS?

The easy answer of course is in a coma or suffering a major stroke. The hard answer is what is the line? Seriously mentally ill, derangement, ' decline in memory or other thinking skills severe enough to reduce a person's ability to perform everyday activities'? @ least 2 of the following core mental functions must be significantly impaired to be considered dementia: Memory , Communication and language, Ability to focus and pay attention, Reasoning and judgment, Visual perception.

"The easy answer of course is in a coma or suffering a major stroke".This to me over steps the lines of decency. To wish a stroke on anyone seems unkind at best. In regards to your actual question. In actuality congress would have the task of proving mental instability. So far, he may not be acting presidential. But he certainly does not exhibit any of what you listed. He expresses himself via twitter, as millions do . He speaks using little filters,  many call this inappropriate.  However, others claim him to be transparent.

He functions daily carrying on with a very busy schedule. He has accomplished many things other presidents have not been able to accomplish. So, I would thing it would be very hard to prove that he has any form of mental problem, other than personality disorders. Which it seems clear that he may have a huge ego problem.

the 25th was after Reagan got shot, I believe that was the original intent. For you to twist my question is a reflection of your mind, - not mine. But thank you for answering. Now I know what kind of person you are, and it shows.

Sorry to say, but this can apply to you!
You can't get over the reality that Trump is president!
Talk about what he has already accomplished, not subjective rhetoric.
Apply some facts to your ambiguous illogical accusations.
    You are better than this.

“If we really had a terrible president determined to go in directions that were economically terrible or terrible for national security, my view is Congress would have very limited ability to stop it; first because of the difficulty of getting a consensus, but second because even if you got one, there’s much the president can do on his own.”

We have made the presidency too powerful to leave the holder of the office functionally unaccountable for four years. That so few feel able to even suggest doing the obvious thing and replacing him with another Republican who is better suited to the single most important job in the world is bizarre.

Being extremely bad at the job of president of the United States should be enough to get you fired.
