Sadiq Khan, London Mayor fighting President Trump visit like a child

The Muslim mayor of Londonistan has ordered police to ban a pro-Trump welcome scheduled next week in London and supports a large balloon mocking the president to be flown over the city.

This is the same mayor who said terror attacks should be considered business as usual.

Wonder who will lose in this conflict?

"If he comes to London, President Trump will experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear," Khan tweeted. "He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear."

So, says the Mayor. Trump already knows not to expect a "red carpet" nor a ticker tape parade. The people of London are free to protest this man to their hearts content as it is a free country.

I do think that even though the sitting Mayor has had a run in with Trump over Trumps stupid comments made about him and his city in the recent past, civility demands that he take a more neutral stance as a public official and not undermine Trumps meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May, in addition to providing for the President's safety at the minimum. But, that is all that I would do, the minimum.

What a great idea for a peaceful protest!

Gets the message across loud and clear, no one gets hurt, and it's already garnered lots of publicity.

      Excellent.

One question though, is the fact that Sadiq Khan is a Muslim relevant to this story in any way? I don't think it is.

What an irony. The USA is always preaching about freedom of speech and expression. But when another country does so, suddenly it's not ok.
I wonder if the so called "freedom of speech in the US" is not a simple myth. Just like the so called "American dream".
America, a country build by immigrants.
America, you lost it somewhere, I hope you will find it back.

Our last resource for free speech is the internet. Loose that, your totally enslaved.

We’re already enslaved. Thanks to Stupid Search Engine Optimization, personal adds, cookies, spiders, keywords, clickbates, trolls etc.
Its difficult to find information thats outside your internet preference.
Instead of coming together, the internet and especially social media devides.
If you are left orientated you get left journalism, if you are right orientated you get rightwing politics. You really have to take some effort to read articles that are out of your comfort zone.
The internet was great 10 years ago but less and less so.

I  can find anything I can imagine on the internet including articles of all kinds. It's free, worldwide, and I think unstoppable.

At one point I felt hopeless the globalist had taken us for good.

Not today, in all fronts with the fastest  growing group is non Religious. With anarchy growing in leaps and bounds. Countries trading oil for goods rather than petro dallors. More exchange in Precious metals and Bitcoin rather than American dollars, no backup. Every country has deep concern about the natural environment except Trump world.

The People in numbers will not allow the Globalist to overthrow the internet, that definitely would be last straw. They will try but will fail, because many people are on to them

It isn't free and the EU is just the latest area to begin "regulating" it.  Other countries just plain censor it.

what you see is sellective. First your google is set to search in a spesific language, its also targeted for a special country. So if you look for the best shoes you will get shoes probably from Amazon.com and not from an amazing shoemaker from Poland.
Same with other information. True, the information is there, but its hard to get. And most people are lazy and just stick with the preferences of the broswer.
The free internet is the most dangerous thing there was and its ruined by personal advertisements. Imagine a comercial free internet. That would be liberating!

Another example of how narrow the internet is, is recipes. People will Google how to make chicken soup and they will choose from the first 4 options. Not the best soup, but the most powerfull website. And everybody eats the same chicken soup...not the one grandma made, but the bloody Jemie Oliver one.

If the this mayor wants to welcome Trump that way and flies the blimp , Then I don't know why we have such allies ,The UK should shoot it down , If the UK can't shoot it down and I know they can , Trump should then give orders for his secret service to shoot it down ,  they can hit it I'm sure .............

    Enough is enough .

They let themselves be disarmed, and now they no longer have any such thing as free speech. The followers of the pedophile prophet have invaded, and they do what they do while the British police investigate the natives who are rightly wishing to do something about what their government will not. Britain needs a far right wing takeover.

The news reports out of the U.K. read like an episode of Black Mirror. Only Sweden is worse.

Wes, The people of Britain will not tolerate that anymore than I will here, get ready for a monumental struggle if the Right even considers such a course. Of course, that by its very definition means the end of democracy and rule of law. Are you ready for that? But, the rightwinger had better be in earnest, because I certainly am, in opposition.

"Donald Trump is a big, angry baby with a fragile ego and tiny hands.

He's also racist demagogue who is a danger to women, immigrants and minorities and a mortal threat to world peace and the very future of life on earth. Moral outrage is water off a duck’s back to Trump. But he really seems to hate it when people make fun of him.

We want to make sure he knows that all of Britain is looking down on him and laughing at him."

    smile

    Btw,

Trump Baby is going on World Tour!” the organizers wrote. “All the details are still TBC but once little Donald has been run out of Britain in July, we will start to put together an itinerary - so if your community is unlucky enough to be expecting a visit from the orange sex pest, please get in touch after the 14th.”

"We originally thought that if we raised more money than we needed, we could give out mini-Trump Baby balloons to well wishers on the 13th, but a lot of people got in touch to say that even biodegradable balloons pose a serious hazard to wildlife, so after surveying supporters we ditched that goal. So instead of 1000 tiny balloons, we have ordered a half-size Trump Baby designed to be filled with air - he's made from thicker plastic so he's a lot less fragile than the big boy - meaning he can join in the protests and knock about with people in the crowds."
