On Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 - 4,682 cases of this strain have been reported worldwide.  China recently started a nationwide attempt to quarantine the outbreak, but most observers feel the efforts are too late, due to the incubation period of this virus being 14 days.

This viral infection is typically accompanied by flu-like symptoms: fever, difficulty breathing, and coughing, among others. In some patients it causes pneumonia, which can lead to death.

An alleged "insider" has reported that the Chinese government is hiding actual figures, which they cite as closer to 100,000 people being affected in China alone.

So far we know of 132 fatalities from this outbreak and it is expected to rise.

Don’t need to be told China is hiding anything that hurts them - to be expected, who believes anything they say?

It is scary. Reports are that there may be more deaths than China is reporting, which is typical of China. I think the U.S. government should ban travel to that area of China rather than just advise Americans to stay away.

Arizona State has already issued a ban on institution-related travel to China by students, faculty, and staff including foreign studies, until the outbreak subsides.
I think these are wise moves, and more may have to be instituted if the virus threat grows. Our government should take drastic measures to keep the coronavirus out of this country, including travel bans and quarantines, since people can't be vaccinated against this disease. One of the fears today is that if the virus crosses from humans to animals, the world food supply could be contaminated. Starvation would ensue, and that could include innocent people who stay at home and do not help spread the disease. So even populations untouched by the virus could die from its aftereffects. I don't think we should take this one lightly.

It is frightening. I hope it is contained and the world doesn't turn into a Steven King novel.

Mike! It looks like the novel is on it’s way.

Patriots4Truth.org has published a report saying that the virus is a bioweapon that was created with funding and resources from DARPA, Bill Gates, the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Wellcome Trust (a UK corporation), Defra (UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), and the European Commission (which is part of the EU government).

They say the coronavirus was then patented by the Wellcome Trust via the Pinbright Institute (UK).

I have no idea who Patriots4Truth.org is  but I suppose what they say can be verified if it is true.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the global warming psychos think killing off a lot of Chinese will save the planet - you know we only have 12 years left ... if that many.
