Is the rioting helping President Donald Trump? The left thinks so.

I don't agree with much this leftest from the LA Times says, BUT I do believe the rioting is benefiting President Donald Trump

How the nightly clashes on American streets benefit Trump

An eight-inch hole blown through the wall of a police precinct house in Seattle. A courthouse set on fire in Oakland and the police station vandalized. Nightly videos of demonstrators clashing violently with police. Barricades in the streets, Molotov cocktails, tear gas, slingshots.
Regardless of who you believe is most at fault, can there be any doubt that these scenes benefit President Trump’s reelection efforts?

This latest ploy by the Dem run cities to allow violence has handed over once again a wonderful plus...  Along with the long list of all their other "crazy ploys". From Russia, Russia, Russia to the impeachment, the hysteria on the virus. All these work to make the Dems look so foolish.

Not only the scenes of the carnage but the reports of the 156 Homeland Sec officers injured. Three officers have been permanently blinded by these "peaceful protestors"...  The Dems could not look more foolish. Well, I should not say that I always have to revise that due to their out and out foolishness. Seem's they just can't do things with honesty, always a ploy, a cheap grifts that hurt the citizens in the end. The majority of American's see through them and all their craziness.

So we hope, but many people are totally afraid to think for themselves or think at all. There is a herd mentality going on. Especially within the youth ranks who are fighting off the fed police with absolute glee.

After watching parts of the 'Hearing' today and that's what it is, the Dems hearing themselves talk!
They don't want to hear anything AG Barr has to say...they just want to belittle him and accuse him and make him seem small! He can hardly get a word out when Dems are questioning.

They watched a video of the all that you've described and still persisted in calling it peaceful, it did not faze them...not in the least!

It is evident that their latest ploy is to make it all about Trump sending in the Feds (although he should have sooner IMHO) to stop this madness....you know little things such as setting Churches and Federal courthouses ablaze!!

ALL of this that is happening (not that there's anything happening other than peaceful protests according to the Dems) but because Trump has finally sent in the Feds (military, uniformed police, whatever) if we do see any images.....it's Trump's fault!

Although he is attempting to get things under control, since these pathetic, useless leftist Dem Mayors/Governors would let their cities, states, burn to the ground, to spite President Trump?!
    What else could it be?
This mayhem (along with this COVID b.s.) don't get me started...is deliberate, to continue to hurt the economy, hurt the Country, disunite us, in order to hurt and hopefully defeat Trump.
I am so mad, I can't type straight!! wink

This is an interesting perception from a leftist from the LA Times.  I have to agree with him.

"The sad truth is that Trump is in a strong position: If the violence comes to an end and all the protesters go home, he can say it was his aggressive, forceful response that shut it down and saved America from anarchy. If the violence continues, well, that’s even better for him — because his fearsome narrative of societal breakdown will be easier to sell."

Maybe it does leave Trump in a stronger position...but in the meantime..where does it leave families, say in Portland for example? Their lives have been turned upside down for no reason. Mom and Pop businesses, large companies, livelihoods....destroyed!! It's horrible, just needs to end.

Maybe it will leave them having learned an important lesson of life...you get the government you deserve. They may learn to choose their leaders wisely or they may once again experience these consequences.

I have my doubts.  The Democrats seem to have created a bubble for themselves and refuse to let reality change their perception of things.  It is upsetting, sad and frightening all at the same time.

    Re: House Judiciary Committee hearings:

Poor Bill Barr! He was treated like a bad school boy. A couple of times he couldn't help cracking up.

I had to turn off the TV.

If I were him, I would have come unglued. He did not.

Those dems were not decent, polite or respectful ...
    at all.

Decent people should see through the vicious tactics of the Dems,
which includes televising their emotionally-charged political stances.

      They won't.

      Why?

... because of a mindset of hatred toward Trump.

What? Is it fun to hate?

I watched it off and on, I wanted to go through the t.v. and slap squad member Jayapal; she is often rude, disrespectful and hateful and I pray she and her fellow squad members will be voted out.
She was on her worst behavior today, lecturing AG Barr, so condescending, but he remained
stoic and didn't take the bait.
Although he did look as if he might bust out laughing a time or two.

How could he not (burst out laughing)?

He witnessed them reading (someone else's) well-constructed "lines of questioning," their obviously well-rehearsed/trained manners of  emotional presentation, their various tactics of interrupting a person whenever he/she opens his/her mouth and their proficiency in the fine art of talking down to a person.

After the election, the (paid) rioters will go home.
If the rioters are supposed to help the left win the election, I hope it works for them.

If the violence does not help them win the election, what good/purpose was all the violence?
If we have a war going on, bring in the military.
That Trump has not done that yet, is actually making him look bad.

Actually, Antifa, BLM, and other Marxists movements want Trump to bring in the military. They want it to escalate. Trump is taking the right stand to not send in the military just yet. Let the nation see what a Democrat led nation would look like. However, whatever the case, eventually the National Guard will be brought in to quell the national unrest, especially if things don't go well for the Democrats in November.

        Yes.
what would happen if the police just stayed away?

What ever happened to the police officer, Derek Chauvin who caused all this ruckus?
Why is his trial not being televised as we type?
if blacks and browns need better protection, let them have it. Find out how.
... such as better training, no knee holds allowed, the ability to dismiss bad apple officers, etc. (but no defunding, of course.)
