The peaceful protests over the death of Mr.George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who died while in police custody in Minneapolis, "appears to have been hijacked by radicals anarchist groups."

The outrage felt by our national community about what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis was real and legitimate.  Accountability for his death should be addressed and was being addressed by Minneapolis with the arrest of the officers involved in his death. It was also evident Many Governors were also addressing law enforcement policy reforms.

However,  peaceful protests that were in being held in response to Mr. Floyd's death were often turning violent.  Over the past weeks, these protests have resulted in many deaths, rapes, and various other injuries.  Not to mention the hundreds of injuries that law enforcement officers have endured.

Over the past weeks the violent protesters that come out after dark, after the peaceful protesters have returned home reap havoc on several Democratic-run cities.  There main target, Federal Buildings...  This development led to President Trump sending in Federal troops to protect the  Federal properties.

For weeks, I have heard little about Mr. Floyd or the protesters cry for police reform. What I have heard is both presidential candidates use the protests as a political chip, on subjects such as police reform, defunding or relocating police funds, and how they would handle law and order in general. Neither seems to make mention of Mr. Floyd or BLM.

Thoughts --- Has the Floyd BLM's cause been hijacked by violent anarchists with a far different agenda. What is their agenda? Do you feel violence is acceptable when protesting?

Yes, I do think the BLM "cause" has been hijacked, but I can't be charitable enough to say they were not complicit in that hijacking.

As bad as I think this looks for the BLM movement and the Democrat leaders that have allowed the rioting to continue, I think they are lucky to have the public's attention diverted by the Coronavirus. If it wasn't dominating the MSM, where most Americans get their news, I think even the Liberals of the general public would be as upset with it, (and those Democrat leaders), as the Conservatives are.

I will agree that half of the MSM is obsessed to make sure all their viewers hear nothing but Coronavirus,  that half would pretty much be MSNBC and CNN. Now the other half FOX, due to their superior rating count for a full half. LOL Fox is covering the riots, showing footage, interviewing Portland citizens that have been hurt by the riots, as well as giving the gruesome reports on the injuries the Homeland security troops have sustained, and lots more. In my opinion, Social media is talking more about the unrest the riots are having on the country and the call for defunding the police. I am bombarded each morning with irate friends that are angry about both the riots and the mere thought of defunding the police, not to mention a lack of all the post promoting share to support those in blue.

I held back stating BLM was complicit in the hijack. Just could not find proof of their involvement. My better common sense tells me BLM are involved, and most likely the organization that is pulling the strings. And it leaves one to wonder who "might be" pulling BLM strings.

I agree it is very possible many liberals are as upset as conservatives about the outbreak of violence, especially with the violence being directed at Federal buildings. To my surprise, My sister,  a dyed in the wool liberal is in complete agreement with my sentiments on the danger of where this could all end up.

I knew this summer would be a long hot one, but I never anticipated such unrest.
