America is known to be a free country, a country that is free to cover the news — not to cover up the news that they perhaps find does not suit their given agenda. Yet, that’s precisely what many journalists did in the final few weeks before the presidential election. Let's take a time machine back, back to well before the election.
ALMOST every major mainstream news organization and outlets flat out refused to pursue and report what could be called a "story in a lifetime" -- that the FBI has been investigating Hunter Biden, president-elect son, for his questionable business dealings with multiple foreign nations. The New York Post was not shy as other media outlets and released a true blockbuster article covering Hunter Biden’s dealings, to include him introducing his dad ( then VP Joe Biden) to the Ukrainian businessman Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma. The introduction took place less than a year before the VP Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company his son was working for. https://nypost.com/2020/10/14/email-rev … an-to-dad/
Joe Biden made a statement that he has never asked Hunter about his business ventures, and called it Russian disinformation.
Jump forward to a whistleblower Mr. Tony Boblinski... Mr. B claimed he had met twice personally with Joe Biden as well as being involved in several business ventures with Hunter, and James Biden.. he presented his information on a Hannity interview, and also handed his laptop and three cell phones to the FBI. His allegations are staggering, and he had claimed Hunter, James, and Joe Biden were pulling in money for multiple countries, using the Biden name to suck up millions. Now ask yourself, did the general media cover Mr. Bobulinski's alligations?
It well appears Hunter was cashing in on his family’s name, that seems fairly obvious. And yes the FBI has an open investigation and has been investigating him since 2018. Was Hunter telling his Ukrainian and Chinese business associates that he would put in a good word for them with his father, who one day might become president of the United States? One would think that would be something curious that journalists might want to pursue — unless, of course, they wanted to put a lid on any news that might hurt then-presidential candidate Joe Biden. It's obvious Liberals in and out of the media might say that’s crazy, except that it isn’t, is it?
CNN has been especially dismissive of the New York Post story.
Brian Stelter, a host on CNN, said the story was a “manufactured scandal” and “a classic example of the right-wing media machine” — “They want you to stay mad and stay tuned,”
CNN talk jock Jake Tapper said “the right-wing was going crazy” over the story.
Other liberal journalists were just as incurious, blowing off the Hunter Biden story as Russian disinformation, a Russian hoax, part of a Donald Trump smear campaign. In essence, they said it was fake news.
But, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Monday said Hunter Biden’s recovered laptop and emails, which purportedly show Joe Biden had involvement in his son’s foreign business dealings, are “not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
Ratcliffe’s comments, which refute claims made by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff that the emails are a smear attempt coming “from the Kremlin,” came during an appearance on FOX Business.
“It’s funny that some of the people who complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence,” Ratcliffe said. “Unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop and emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

It would seem we need answers to many questions at this point. Should have the general media glossed over the story due to the election, in hopes of averting a scandal?
Should have the latest alligations against Hunter Biden that were known about way before the election been reported before the election?--- The fact was Hunter Biden's investigation had entered a new phase before the election. Federal prosecutors in Delaware, working with the IRS Criminal Investigation agency and the FBI, are taking overt steps such as issuing subpoenas and seeking interviews, with people with knowledge.
Why was this information not reported in a timely fashion? And Is this the type of media we really want to become accustomed to? A media that makes the decisions on what we hear or read?
Maybe Joe should just hire him as Advisor to the President like Ivanka and Jared. That would make it okay, wouldn't it?
Well, I have no problem with Joe hiring Hunter, just so he agrees to a drug test on demand. Or maybe appoint Dr. Jill. as an adviser, then if he has an MI she can jump in and do a great job at CPR -- or Dr. Jill could just give him a bit of English composition instructions. Or his brother James. James Biden, the older of Joe Biden's two younger brothers is caught up in an FBI probe into a bankrupt hospital chain
FBI has asked about his role in Americore, which ran rural hospitals but whose CEO is accused of siphoning off cash for personal gain
James Biden was involved in it since 2017 and been named as its 'principal' although he has disputed that and others said he was an investor

Plus, most importantly none of Trump's children have a Communist as an office mate. Just saying.
Sure, and then if he does do something illegal Joe can simply pardon him. Win win!
Yes, I am sure one way or the other -- Biden will pardon his son, as well as his brother, and who else in his family he would need to.
Sounds like the new precedents set in the last four years are simply wonderful for whoever occupies the WH.
Hate to point out no precedent as of yet. Now, President Trump has a few more days, so it is possible if one of his children is charged with a crime he could pardon them. I think it will actually be Joe Biden that sets that precedent. IT's a wait and see. Hunter has not been charged with a crime at this point, and may never be. However, if he is Joe will most likely pardon him. If Joe is involved in the alleged crimes he will be impeached and won't be able to pardon anyone.
I think your obsession with Trump is sort of amazing. Once again a thread about Biden's and the Media, yet we are discussing Trump.
Trump and his grifter family are still soaking his followers and the taxpayers and, sadly, his unprecedented flouting of ethics and norms has set new precedents for acceptable presidential behavior. What you call "obsession" I call "pointing out the obvious." True obsession is Trump followers believing the election was stolen because their idol brainwashed them into believing it, despite the failure of every single court case brought before all courts.
Don't worry, when January 20 arrives I hope to never have occasion to even think about him much less see or hear him. He will be irrelevant in my world, while I have little doubt he will remain influential to his obsessed followers.
As for Hunter and Joe Biden, if either or both have done anything illegal, I hope they will suffer the appropriate consequences, as I would for any politician or any citizen who breaks the law.
"pointing out the obvious" --- the obvious in your view, and yes many others. However, many citizens do not share your view. For myself, the verdict is still out on the election interference. It is clear many have donated money to the campaign to prove voter fraud. I have no way of knowing what this money has been or will be spent for.
I must add I am pleased to see you feel if anyone breaks the law they should be treated with the said appropriate consequences. This is my very sentiment.
I also agree many that who support Trump will continue to long after Biden takes office. Not sure if he will be irrelevant in the world. That is yet to be seen.
Well, just a minor clarification: he will be irrelevant in my world. The only way he will remain relevant in my world is if he continues to rile up his followers and they become disruptive or dangerous to an extent that they cannot be ignored. I hope this will not happen but I also will not be surprised if it does.
I apparently am not a clairvoyant, as you seem to deem yourself. IMO President Trump would not condone any form of violence, as he showed in his offer to help the Dem states over the summer when they had so much violence being perpetrated. They refused his help, and let their cities be destroyed in some cases. I would predict if he thought violence occurred he would once again step up to the plate the offer help in bringing it under control. That is what he did factually... and would most likely do once again if he is in Office when it occurred. If it is after, I have no doubt he would be quick to condemn it.
.
Yes, he is quick to condemn rioting from those he doesn't think support him but fails to condemn violence from right-wing militia or anyone he thinks supports him. Unless the outcry is loud enough, then he begrudgingly says something.
Well, hopefully, we do not have any violence on either side. But, I trust Trump would speak up as he has done previously. The problem may have been many just were not listening.
I will be the first to bash him if any form of violence breaks out and he does not condemn it.
'Well, hopefully, we do not have any violence on either side. But, I trust Trump would speak up as he has done previously. The problem may have been many just were not listening.

I will remember this post. I have a feeling your "faith" in Trump is highly misplaced.
Well, I hope no violence occurs. But as a realist, I think there could be. I will add I would be very disappointed if any violence occurs that Trump would not condemn it, and if still president stop it.
LOL You will bash Trump whether there is violence or not, whether he condemns it or not, whether the sun rises in the morning or not.
"I will be the first to bash him if any form of violence breaks out and he does not condemn it."
Really? Does this mean you're upset with K. Harris for bailing out rioters in Portland, Seattle, etc.?
"any politician or any citizen who breaks the law."
Guess you are unaware of the double standards applied to Hillary Clinton. You or I did what she did...it would have a different ending.
Wow...hiring your son while he is under federal investigation to work in the White House. That would be a new low...even for the Democrats.
Probably because nobody cares. After the last four years, Hunter Biden is small potatoes.
Yes, it is evident many will see the Bidden corruption as small potatoes. As proved by your comment. Facts indicate the Biden's corruption is a very serious form of crime that could compromise Joe Biden due to him owing to the Chinese Communist Party.
"According to a September report released by the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Senate Finance Committee on their investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings, Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong and other Chinese nationals that Hunter Biden had business associations with were linked to the Chinese Communist government and the People's Liberation Army."

Thank you for opening up this subject. The comparison of Trump/Biden, as well as their families, should be looked at very carefully. And with all the recent allegations and evidence in regards to the Biden's, it's a very interesting subject.
You know, it takes awhile for us to recover from the shock of a Trump supporter suddenly caring about presidential corruption....or mental problems, or predatory sexual behavior, or inappropriate or dumb comments, or....
"presidential corruption....or mental problems, or predatory sexual behavior, or inappropriate or dumb comments,"
Are you sure you're not describing the Clinton White House?
Judging by the responses I think it's clear the left could care less about corruption. As long as those who are corrupt claim to be democrats.
I guess you missed it when I said "As for Hunter and Joe Biden, if either or both have done anything illegal, I hope they will suffer the appropriate consequences, as I would for any politician or any citizen who breaks the law."
The rest are probably still recovering from the shock of a Trumper suddenly caring about corruption after watching them ignore it for four years.
