"Woke-ism, multiculturalism, all the -isms — they're not who America is. They distort our glorious founding and what this country is all about. Our enemies stoke these divisions because they know they make us weaker," Pompeo wrote Tuesday.

Pompeo, who is widely believed to have 2024 presidential ambitions, is apparently trying to inherit Trump's basket of deplorables.

He is a supremacist. Do you expect him to run? Would you vote for him?

Yes, I would not be surprised if he ran.

No, I would not vote for anyone who supported and enabled Trump, even if I liked their poklicies, which I am sure would not be the case with Pompeo

Pompeo could well be running for president in 2024. And he could win too.
As Pompeo is Trump II, just smarter. He will use the stolen election theme for his campaign. It will be a theme you will hear 4 years long. It will simmer and poison people.
But a lot can happen in 4 years. For the good and the bad.

It is possible, but we will see how the investigations and prosecutions into the Jan. 6 failed insurrection fare. I'm not trying to implicate Pompeo in any manner, but we may be surprised how far and wide these go.

Career diplomat Conrad Tribble said on Twitter that multiculturalism "is one of our greatest strengths as a country, and I go to that well often as an American diplomat. It's hard to overstate the global soft power impact of America's cultural diversity."

"This is a truly unfortunate and disturbing statement for the secretary of state to make at a time when the task ahead for this country it to pull all of the diverse sectors of our country together and become the 'United' States once more," said retired Amb. Charles Ray, who served 30 years in the foreign service and 20 in the US Army. "It also sends a troubling message to those countries struggling with interethnic strife and dictators who exploit the ethnic and cultural divisions within their societies."

'He is very clearly positioning himself'

Political strategists view Pompeo's tweet as part of a push in his final days to appeal to the Trump faction of the GOP, with the outgoing top US diplomat speaking to a very specific group of Republicans who still support President Donald Trump, his anti-immigrant policies and his attacks on the so-called "politically correct."

"He is very clearly positioning himself to be an inheritor of the Trump base. This is a message that precisely goes along with the things that the President has said," said GOP strategist Douglas Heye. "When I saw this tweet I thought, well, a lot of us hoped that this administration would have stood for conservatism, but that was all thrown out the window in favor of all things Trump."

Anyone in Trump's family or current administration will be seen as supporting authoritarianism.  Anyone who failed to stand up to him will be seen as too weak to be considered for the position of President.  That leaves about five members of the GOP I would consider voting for - Hogan, Kasich, Sasse, Romney, and Kinzinger.

Yep, pretty much any other GOP politician has a giant, bloated, orange, toxic toad hanging off his/her back.

I can't support the GOP's misogynistic position. Even the female candidates who ran against Trump in 2016 were screaming to "defund Planned Parenthood", the only organization who gives a damn about poor women's health.
