From talking to various people these days, there are many who feel LeBron James' "activist" statements are positioning him to possibly run for political office when he retires officially from the NBA.  My biggest question to you all is this.  Assuming LeBron James even wants to run for office, do YOU think he should?    Based on his recent activism to support Black Lives Matter, LBGT rights in the US, and his various charity contributions to help underdeveloped neighborhoods, do you think he could have what it takes to run for political office someday?  Maybe become like say a mayor?  Senator?  Governor, or dare I say.. the office of the presidency someday?    Please discuss.

I prefer him as a basketball player.

LeBron James is a very outspoken man, much of the time it's obnoxious dribble. He does not have any history in anything but basketball and has high school education. Plus with all his cash he has given very little back in the way of charity compared to many sports celebrities.

He is wonderful at his given sport Basketball.

He seems to have the racist rhetoric of the left down pat. He'd probably do well in a democratic primary.

I tend to agree with everything Jason Whitlock, A BLACK GUY, said about LeBron being a racist and a bigot.  lol

Actually, he would do well in the Democratic primary, he has the celebrity many liberals chases after. He is a shoo-in. I mean they demean a well-accomplished man like Tim Scott and drool over a celebrity basketball player. Go figure.

It must have been hard to find a black man whose family "went from cotton to Congress" who would say there is no systemic racism in this country. Where do R's dig up these people? Why are black men being killed for simple traffic violations or things white men wouldn't even be questioned about?

I don't understand why anyone would want to go into a high office or attempt to be a president. LeBron has more influence as a basketball player to his idealism than becoming a puppet lying politician. He still has a good chance of being top leading scorer of all times in NBA history also.
