joe biden has a problem.  He has very low approval ratings.  This has been established from different polls published in different outlets.

Her is one from November 8 and based on the USA Today and Suffolk University poll

“President Biden’s approval rating has dropped to a new low of 38%, according to a poll released Monday.
A USA Today and Suffolk University poll taken Wednesday through Friday showed the latest bad news for Mr. Biden, whose approval ratings have slid throughout the summer amid supply chain woes, a bungled military withdrawal from Afghanistan and rising inflation.
The poll found that 46% of those surveyed believe Mr. Biden is doing a worse job as president than expected. That total includes 16% who voted for him in the presidential election last year.”

November 14 Bloomberg article featuring Washington Post/ABC poll

“President Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped to a new low, mainly because of more negative views among Democrats and independents, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll”

A recent poll publshed today, November 18, cited by the lberal publication Newsweek published in the liberal MSN

“Biden's Approval Rating Hits New Low as Most Disapprove of His Handling of COVID, Economy

“President Joe Biden's approval rating has hit a new low, according to the latest poll from Quinnipiac University.

The survey, which was released Thursday found just 36 percent of Americans approve of Biden's job performance while 53 percent of respondents disapproved of the president's performance—the lowest rating he's received in a Quinnipiac national poll so far.”

joe biden is a very unpopular president.  This is a fact.
I don't see the American public changing their attitudes toward him any time soon.

Will biden ever win back the trust of the American public?

"Is Joe Biden's lack of popularity responsible for a future red wave?"  In my view yes.

Will Biden ever win back the trust of the American public? He never had the trust of half the people  And now it is easy to see independents have had buyers remorse.  Polls indicate many Democrats have also jumped ship. It appears that people are done with Biden, and now realize what many have been saying --- he is just not a man that can solve problems. He creates them, then ignores them. It is also becoming more and more obvious he can't do the job due to his failing cognitive problems. One can only at this point feel very sorry for him. He has been used...

I don't see how Mike, he never had the trust of half the Nation and now these surveys, these polls, etc. reflect defeat, before one year in! He is, was and will always be, in, way over his head. He has absolutely nothing going for him. Nothing/Nada!
I feel sorry for him at times, due to his mental state. He is fading fast and nevertheless, many people that were around him, even those that are supposed to love him, knew this and pushed him into office! Shameful!
It's bad, all the way around; for him, for us, for this Country.

Inflation is up and now there is a shortage of items because of the supply chain issue.  There is also trouble at the southern border.  Heating oil and gas prices are rising and expected to reach records.  Forget politics, nobody like to have to pay more to live.
