Have you ever felt misunderstood, even hated at times, for loving your Country/for defending your Country/for defending freedom?
Have you tasted freedom, only to have it taken away?
Have you ever known true freedom/independence, outside of government restraints?
I think this is a topic, we can all participate in (hopefully, freely)

Out of my top ten means to an end, feelings.
Freedom is number 3 after Health and Love.
Felt very free to tour every Continents and worked at every and anything that  I liked or loved for most waking hours of my life. Up to two and a half years ago, shut down. Then later being unvaxxed goverment Gods cut me from my business, also from dating, from temp  jobs, and from travel to my second house in Belize.

Hey Castle, long time no chat!
I think we talked about this before, but I am in Florida and Florida remained open and free (after the initial 30 days or so...)
The only time that I felt as if I wasn't living in a free country, was when my Mom was in the hospital dying, in another State,(she didn't have COVID) but a lot of people didn't get to tell her good bye...because of COVID, and her immediate family was very limited in visiting her. She was so confused by it all and it broke my heart!!!
I never want to have to go though anything like that again and I wouldn't wish what we went through on anyone! It was overkill, unnecessary and cruel!
Otherwise, I too have had a full life. Blessed.
    Good to hear from you!

... same experience here. I wonder if that generation (30's born) had some karma.
Maybe next time around they will be less critical and demanding.
      ... well, many were.

Trudeau still won't let me go to Florida, Belize or Mexico to be more free, lucky you.
Meanwhile,  he has caught covid four times and been vaxxed 5 times. My friends and I still hold unacceptable veiws, lol.

It is very suspicious when determining whether one has Covid 19 antibodies via blood test /lab work is discouraged. Very suspicious. My doctor, once I insisted on being tested and then showed positive for Covid 19 antibodies, wouldn't even look at the results.

So, I have antibodies, having gotten Covid 19 twice and recovering just fine. I feel that I will no longer get Covid 19. I have the antibodies and my body knows how to fight off the germ. I was never vaccinated.

Even though CDC finally admits caughting covid  is safer caughting covid the second time. Rather than having the vaccines.  That means all this would have been solved just using our immune system as we have, for thousands of years. They were BSings and that  is worse than lying the whole time.

abwilliamsposted 2 years agoin reply to this

The CDC is backpedaling quicker than you can say "vaccine"!
Yet another government agency bites the dust!

"Will not let me"....that drives me absolutely crazy and makes me twitch! I can't even imagine being told by a government figure, who
works for the people, telling me what I can and can't do.
Here of late, every one that I am hearing has COVID right now, have been vaccinated and boosted. Some of them have been boosted more than once and have had COVID more than once!
I have no regrets, only relief, for not getting this particular jab.

... also, the kids who were 18 during the lock down endured a loss of freedom when it is so important for their development. At 18 we were free to hang, play and be with each other in groups and gatherings.
    They weren't.
Now, they exhibit anger in many ways.
I've noticed, for instance, that they slam down their glasses on tables and bar tops when out, act very authoritatively in the workplace and are rude and bossy in general.
    Well, many are.

It screwed up so many lives, no doubt about it! I hope the younger ones can bounce back from it, but it will be impossible for some personality types, I fear.

Freedom is joy of life. Without freedom we humans are not happy.
Boundaries are to protect freedom. Not take it away.

What are appropriate boundaries which preserve freedom? This question is the basis for the study of Social Science.

My super power is sticktoitiveness. I fall down, get up again and go round and round.

Under 2 years, I finally got a big job teaching hundreds of people sandsculpting.
Then had to be finger printed in case of pior child molesting that takes months to process. I lost the job, can't even play with kids anymore with the fear of everything and everywhere.

  5. abwilliams profile image73
    abwilliamsposted 2 years ago

So, guilty until proven innocent? Is it routine to be fingerprinted, in order to get a job/keep a job? This is just wrong on too many levels.
    This isn't freedom!?!

If you are dealing with teaching kids, or are in any ways going to be around kids, schools, students even at the college level... you will be fingerprinted and an in depth review of your history will take place.

Anywhere this is not occurring, is in violation of the law, and is putting those children at risk.

      1. abwilliams profile image73
abwilliamsposted 2 years agoin reply to this

Assumed guilty until proven innocent, ostracized during the waiting period, this is acceptable everywhere and if it's not, it should be?
I am definitely out of touch!

I can see finger-printing (for adults who will be alone with children) but I can't see assuming the worst about an individual, until the results come back and I can't see the results suddenly making everything okay. I immediately think about the many cases of female teachers, here in the States, who get caught for having sex with their male students; I'm sure their fingerprints proved them to be as pure as the freshly fallen snow.

Bill Burr is one of those rare comedian that can joke about pedophile and make you laugh.

Yes a pedophile is a horrible thing but there can't be that many of them out there. So parents lock their kids up so they become fat and ugly so pedophile won't want to have sex with them.

Just as a side note . . . I live in Calif and a thumb print is required for a driver's license/renewal or official ID card today. Calif is one of four states that require this. The other three are Georgia, Texas, and Colorado. That is about 24% of U.S. population. Texas has done it since 1960.

At the link following is a table at the bottom sharing what job types require finger prints.

I didn't see Politicians on the list, probably an oversight on my part.
        Foster Parent okay, definitely!
Interesting, FRAUD, citizens trying to get something for nothing from the government, appears to be the cause for much of the fingerprinting being done...by the government! I wonder who was the cause of this, to start with?!?

Here in Brazil we have to be fingerprinted AND show ID and a current voter card in order to vote. (Imagine how well that would go over if the Republicans suggested that change in the US!!!!)

Almost everyone votes though, and people start lining up at 6 in the morning to get through the line.

      1. abwilliams profile image73
abwilliamsposted 2 years agoin reply to this

It would not go over very well!

We must get back to lining up early and actually voting on Election Day, here in the states!! I'd be perfectly okay with keeping the polls open late so that everyone...already in line, could vote!
But all of this early voting and extended voting, voting by mail, the use of ballot gatherers and additional ballot boxes placed here, there and yonder, to make it "more convenient" must end. Too many conveniences, create too many opportunities for cheating.

No I have never felt misunderstood for loving my country, defending it and defending our freedom - at least not from my fellow Brits and Europeans?  Why should I feel misunderstood on this side of the pond, we live in a free democracy not in a regime?

It wasn't directed at you or any one person in particular, just a question for open discussion.
Everyone can't say they live in a free democracy or in a republic.
Everyone isn't free to enter a forum and chat, sad to say.

Yeah, most people in these forums live in free democracies; we don't get many people (if any) from within China or Russia for example, participating in these forums.

Canadians aren't feeling very free right now.
There's a big difference in having complete freedom and being forced to accept so-called freedom; conditional freedom.
We lose a little more of ours here in the states with each new day. We aren't the same place we once were, far from it.

North America's freedom have been challenged a great deal except Mexico. Where worldwide generally freedom has increased amazingly, accept one single big bomb like covid has set us back some.

Mexico's freedom is currently being challenged by the Cartel's causing havoc and killing for no particular reason. The U.S. advised its citizens to think real hard about going there. In other words a warning.

Alot has changed of the image of the Mexican drug cartels. The legal drugs kill alot more than the illegal drugs.

Even the President of Mexico pushes away the pharmaceutical corporations all the time. Mexican are more :We the people; Rather than We the Government and are a happier country for it. The US media is always downing Mexican and Russians. Must be those three fingers pointing back at themselves.

My second home is between Mexico and Belize with a house. Often said land of the free. Been to every state in Mexico and the only places from my experience is fighting along the American borders all the time. The Mexican cartels are mostly well liked for their humanitarian services and Mexican dislike the Government Where 80% Amercan dislike their Government,  except they live a lie about it all the time.

No doubt and "drugs, crime and cartels" are spilling out into the U.S., how could it not? Biden abandoned the building of the security wall AND our National Security in general and why did he do that?!?
To undo everything Trump did, simple as that!
That should make every single American question the motives of Biden & Company.
