What causes parents to have children under the most abject circumstances, knowing that their children would have inadequate necessities & even more dismal socioeconomic & educational opportunities in life?   Why would such parents irresponsibly have children knowing that they do not have the environment to care for their children, oftentimes depending upon outside sources such as charities or other people to keep them socioeconomically afloat?

Surly it’s an innate right for every woman, whether she’s poor or not, to have a child?

And it needn’t be the way you describe; for example, in Britain:-

    •    If a young woman has to suddenly get married because she gets pregnant, and they have to live in a two bedroom flat or house with their parents; then that is considered 'overcrowding' and thus the young couple are given ‘high’ priority for a ‘Council House’ (that's how my brother got his council house).  Council Houses in Britain being houses built and owned by ‘Local Government’ to house the homeless.

Famous British TV personality who grew up in a Council House: https://youtu.be/YBHwjdU84vg

    •    Council House rent is cheaper than ‘Housing Association’ rent, and private rent.  'Housing Associations' are non-profit organisations who provide social housing for the needy, in a similar manner to council houses; so thier rent is cheaper than private rent, but to cover their administrative costs their rent is higher than council housing rent.

    •    If the young couple can’t afford the rent e.g. the husband is either unemployed or on a low income, then they will be entitled to ‘Housing Benefit’ e.g. where the local government pays the rent for them.

    •    In the UK ‘all’ education is ‘free’ to all until the age of 18; so children from poor families go to the same schools as rich children, have the same teachers as rich children, and thus get the same education as rich children.

    •    In the UK every mother, regardless to how rich or poor she is, gets child benefit for any children they have e.g. a couple with two children get $2,244 per year child benefit from the government.

Putting some data on it, 40% of children from poor families in the UK leave school with good qualifications, allowing them every opportunity to get good jobs; and 20% of children from poor families go onto university.

Life may not be easy if you are poor, but in this day and age, in a modern society like Britain, few people live in abject poverty, and children from poor families get every opportunity for socioeconomic and educational opportunities in life.
