   President Biden indicated that MAGA supposedly is a threat to democracy.  However, it is the present Democratic faction that is a threat to democracy.   Cities that are ran by Democrats are becoming increasingly unsafe with escalating crime.  In New York City, people are being attacked/assaulted on a frequent basis.  In the Chelsea section of New York City, a woman was slashed in face & a man was hit w/a brick.  Because of the defunding of the police by liberals, criminals are becoming more embodied.   It seems that the Democratic Party  presently is threatening democracy & civilization, not so-called MAGA.  Your thoughts?

      I am not sure why Biden feels those that support MAGA  are a threat. You have listed just one reason that the Democrats are more of a force working against democracy. We are seeing much of America's social fabric fray...  We in no sense are holding our current government accountable for the many problems we now live with. In a true democracy, the population has a voice. The caveat is -- the people did speak, they voted in a president, and he in turn appointed a cabinet. 
      
      So under our system of government, the whole population or all the eligible members vote and elected representatives. This was done. We got what the majority voted for Biden.  So GM, some of us did not vote for Biden, some did, and have buyer's remorse., and some are very much satisfied with the very direction the country is headed.
      
      Will American's come out in numbers in Nov, and be heard? If they choose to stay on the very path we are on, how will you feel?
      
      I agree --  It seems that the Democratic Party presently is threatening democracy & civilization, not the so-called MAGA.
      
      Hopefully, we will end up being in the majority in Nov.

         Something wrong with saving America?
         It does need to be saved at this point and anyone who does not Realize this fact and the reasons behind it

            Kathryn,  I think you are correct, we are at a point where Make America Great Again does not offer the urgency we face -- Save America suits our sentiment much better.
            
            In my view, we have a small segment that truely doesn't like America as we have known it, and hope to have a "make-over".

   Classic projection.  The world ends for the right if they are not in power.  Then they get power, and it's been a collapsing economy for Bush and a global pandemic for Trump that a democrat has to recover from - while the right blames them for the problems started during the end of the last term and not being quicker to recover from.

   Independence for the individual is the ideal. Why? Because it provides happiness.
   The Right believes in freedom. Does the left?
   
   The Right does not want power for its party, but for each person/citizen.
   Democrats fight for the underdogs and that is fine. But someone has to fight for the average person who is born for personal power, control and mastery in his own way in his own world/country.
