Vaccinated Americans a majority of COVID deaths

ON this day, I'm thankful I refused to get the vaccine.

"For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, a majority of Americans dying from the coronavirus were at least partially vaccinated, according to a new analysis of federal and state data.

The waning efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and increasingly contagious strains of the virus being spread to elderly and immunocompromised people have resulted in more deaths among those who have taken at least one vaccine dose, a Washington Post analysis published Wednesday finds.

"Fifty-eight percent of coronavirus deaths in August were people who were vaccinated or boosted," the Post reported."

Well, i assume you had the virus and made it?

I don´t follow this topic any more, but aren´t some 80% of the population vaccinated? And those with preconditions and elderly more than 90% vaccinated?

My conclusion would be: If 80..90% account for 58% of deaths, then 10..20% account for remaining 42%. My maths analytics tells me that probability of death without vaccine is roughly 4 times higher compared to vaccinated people.

This is a quick and dirty result from the foxnews figure. I suggest you should not be too thankful ..

In my family we all had the virus. Our daughter, the same antivaxxer as you are, suffered most. Kids don´t really count and were not vaccinated, but spread the virus, so 4 generations from my mother in law to our grandchildren got it and made it with fairly little trouble. As anecdotal as this personal experience may be, vaccination helps...

I concur, that's the same maths calculations that I make.  sad

Ditto.  I had to look up how many Americans got at least one vaccine dose, but from there the math is the same, showing that unvaccinated people have a very disproportionately high death rate from COVID.

"Fifty-eight percent of coronavirus deaths in August were people who were vaccinated or boosted," the Post reported.

    Times are changing.

I personally know more than one person who has had health problems as a direct result of getting the vaccine.  These are numbers only for the United States.

More people who has the vaccine dying than people who did not have it is a trend that is growing.

    Things are changing.

Glad I didn't get the vaccine.

I’ve had ‘ALL’ my covid jabs with no side effects; and to date I’ve never had covid:  So it “makes me really glad that I’ve had all my covid jabs”.

Besides, now the pandemic is over, and with the current strain (although far more infectious) being far less deadly, the main problem now is ‘Long Covid’ – a topic which doesn’t get debated on these forums.

In the UK 2.8% of the population (1.8 million people) currently suffering from ‘Long Covid’, a long-term debilitating illness that can affect anyone of any age.  And in the USA, assuming a similar percentage of Americans suffering Long Covid as the UK there will be over 9 million Americans suffering this debilitating illness.

The shots may help vulnerable Americans dodge serious illness or death. But some experts believe boosters must be improved and are calling for a new strategy.

"Main stream" advice from scientists in G. (including the guy who invented the PCR test, that was rolled out worldwide in 2020):

Vaccinations and boosters help to avoid serious outcomes of infections, but don´t stop spreading.
Virus has mutated so many times, people have adapted, so no more restraining of puplic life, mass gatherings, masks,..
      Only protect vulnerable people.

My "microlab" family experience with Covid infection kind of confirms these statements. Our daughter, being strict antivaxxer suffered serverly. Grandchildren took it like a cold and cough. All others were vaccinated (son, daugther in law, wife, son in law, mother in law) had no seriuos problems. And for me, i didn´t even have symptoms, but i was the only one with a booster (3rd) shot. My father died at age 100 with Covid. He was simply old and caught Covid in the hospital and that finished him.

By now it is not really important any more if you are vaccinated or not. It doesn´t prevent any wave nor does it promote spreading. But if you get the virus, it definitely helps if you were vaccinated.

Hospitals are not overloaded, social burden is fairly low. We are back to business as usual.

My family has shared most of what your family has experienced. I was fully vaccinated and had two cases of mild COVID thus far. My physician went into details in regard to the Virus, explaining it is attached to a common cold-like component, will be around just as the common cold for many years to come, and will hopefully denature itself over the years to come. my titers have become high, maybe due to having COVID twice.

This season we are having more severe problems with the Flu that is circulating. It is hitting all ages.

So sorry to hear about your Father...

...This season we are having more severe problems with the Flu that is circulating...

Same over here. That is why i updated my flu shot some time ago. Me think more important than this Covid thing.

But the issue is that those people who refused the Covid vaccinations are also likely to refuse influenza vaccination. Always the same story: "Pharma corporations only want to earn money, don´t let anybody touch my body, serious side effects ..."

It is not the same thing at all. I know plenty of elderly people that have seen their friends die after they got the hastily approved COVID shot. It may have nothing to do with the vaccine but it is their anecodatal experience and since the vaccine was approved so quickly and the Pfizer vaccine effects the immune system they are wary of it.

The flu shot has been around for years. It may change but it is still manufactured using the techniques we know work to create vaccines. No one I know of will not get the flu vaccine but many avoid the COVID vaccine.

and take Ivermectin instead. Can´t take this serious.

Well, you might want to do some research on that. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10 … 63586/full Ivermectin effectively inhibits viral replication. That is not what the drug was developed for, it was first noticed here in Brazil becuase people in overcrowded prisons did not die, even when they are exposed. They are constantly taking ivermectin because secondary to the overcrowding there is a huge lice problem.

Unlike the vaccine, which, as you pointed out, does not stop the spread of the disease, ivermectin does. If somone in your family gets sick you might want to take it serious.

I G. this stuff is only for horses .., a veterinarian drug only.
                  Lets leave it there.

It is however supposed to be allowed for treatment of kids hair against lice and nits. Has probably less "side effects" than the old style treatment with petroleum.

And yes, i do have 2 generations of experience with petroleum for my children and grandchildren, from Kindergarten to elementary school..

Do you know that ivermectin was developed for use in people? It was only licensed for veterinary use later. It is certainly NOT only for horses. You might want to check with your local pharmacy for that information if you do not believe me.

It has NOTHING to do with petroleum jelly or whatever they were using in your school. The antiviral property of the medication was discovered by accident. Interestingly enough they did not test its effectiveness against the new COVID medication, which only has results against death rates compared to doing nothing.

The point I was trying to make is that nobody knew the long-term effects of the vaccine.  They are slowly starting to reveal themselves.  A friend sent me a study that showed the animals who got the vaccine before it was released are not doing well at all.  There have been many problems revealing themselves with people who took the vaccine.

I didn't get the jab either. I am glad. However, some folks were forced to get the jab in schools, jobs and others areas. That was not okay. The solution was to isolate if sick, take precautions and take care of yourself.
I am fortunate to have a smart MD. I got the virus two times. First time was before we knew about it. Last time was not as bad as the first time. My MD treated me with "controversial" drugs. They worked. He has yet to lose a patient via Covid.

Ivermectin is controversial but it works to decrease the viral activity by 85%. It costs about $5 a box. The new COVID medication works a little better so Pfizer is marketing it at $500 a box.

It sounds like you have a smart MD. Too bad there is not a president in the US that smart, not willing to bow down and give billions more to a pharma giant.

The vaccines have done more harm than good. Considering the overall health model of injuries and death worldwide, especially to social society , hospital vacancies and economics.  The world population has lowered because the pandemic with many unknown reasons and answers.  Where is the the alarm bells for tobacco the last three years. Where the deaths are 4 times higher annually, than covid death stats. Not counting all the other greater number ways to die.
