Ravi, This is an interesting article about a women's prison ship from England to Australia, but it turned into love at sea.

I didn't know about the sea of love story, Ravi. It is not all that surprises that  the officers took advantage of the stuation as they had a long trip from England to Australia.

Ravi has created an interesting article. Though there are some unpleasant points in the story, as there often is in history, there is also joy. It was interesting to hear how some of the woman achieved success in Australia and to read about their kindness.

Thanks for sharing the article, Pamela.

This is a wonderful write-up about the Lady Juliana ship, carrying notorious women from Britain to Australia. Although there was love at sea and pregnancies, I was happy to know many of these women worked hard to become successful in life and helped other women after reaching Australia. A good piece. I enjoyed reading it, Ravi.

Thanks, Pamela, for sharing Ravi's post.

    Ravi...
You write about some of the most interesting things.
Lady Juliana is indeed a different type of story.

Imagine having all those pregnancies & more on the ship than planned.
Sad there were so many teenagers, like one 14 yr old pregnant girl.

    Times were definitely different.
A year long voyage certainly makes it a bit understandable.

Thanks, Brenda. At least these women succeeded in Australia and helped shape a new country.
