The news today indicates that that terrible misogynist, worst since Genghis Khan, made his first choice today.  His new Chief of Staff is Susie Wiles.  The same woman that was his campaign manager.

What else can we expect from this vile woman hater, this misogynist from centuries past?  Even more women chosen for his cabinet or other positions of power as he values their abilities and knowledge?

Yes! Now this pissed me off! Can he be charged with something due to this appointment?

I believe he will be very strategic in who he brings on board this time, and it’s clear he’s planning to clean house—something he should have done in his first term. I’m beyond excited and thrilled that he chose Susie Wiles as his Chief of Staff; she’s made history as the first woman in this role! I actually had a list of top people I hoped he would hire, and she was on it—so, check!

I think he went to work as soon as he woke up yesterday, and we will most likely be hearing daily what he is up to.

Here we go with the next crop of "all the best people". Who suddenly become dumb as rocks when they voice opposition and are summarily fired.   The only thing I think he will do a better job at in terms of hiring this go around?  Screening for die hard loyalists.  Only "yes" men and women

How many held the position of Chief of staff in the first Trump regime?  Four?  I wonder how long she'll be around.

She was his campaign manager.  I imagine he knows her pretty well; how long she lasts likely depends on how well she likes the job.

How well she likes the job? As soon as she disagrees with any of Trump's demented nonsense she'll be axed and disparaged  just like all the others were.

Yup!  Just like she was axed as his campaign manager.

Still, if "disparaged" means "Given a job" it might be worth it.

Dan,   Will the constant hate and endless predictions about what Trump might do ever stop? Maybe it’s time some people focus on what he actually did during his presidency. It’s predictable at this point—critics never fail to miss an opportunity to speculate, but it always makes me laugh when Trump defies those expectations and his real accomplishments get ignored.

I mean this mindset is so odd to me. To be predicting the downfall before Trump has even been sworn in... Yikes

Such a misogynist, I am waiting for Tulsi to be hired, again I think her appointment could be another historic appointment --- perhaps the  Secretary of Defense.  I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do feel, she will be taken with him when he returns to Washington. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

MSN already slamming her. Sicko's.   Always ready to slander anyone they find it necessary to do so.  Not sure how long these talking heads will be given a voice --- I would think the network's big wigs will admonish them, and give them a new platform--- be nice or hit the road.  The left media outlets are fading fast-- just no one tuning in.

Yes, left-leaning media like CNN and MSNBC have been losing viewers in recent month. Both networks saw significant drops in viewership, with MSNBC's primetime audience declining by 29% and CNN's primetime numbers falling by 21% compared to previous weeks. This on top of the past year's decline, makes me wonder if anyone is watching. Oh my.

The question becomes (and the answer will be fascinating) is/was it a matter of $$ or do the top echelons not care about viewership in their program to influence?  Was the obvious bias because they thought it would earn them more money or because of their own bias being the driving force?

In other words will their bias suddenly switch sides?  Either way, a sad statement.

CNN was significantly down in linear viewership from 2020, essentially halving its audience with just 4.7M viewers, compared to 9.6M four years ago.
Part of that is people (young people) getting their news from YouTube.

They are up to their corrupt DC shenanigans in the Senate ...trying to set up another anti-Trump Republican leadership like he had to fight last time.

Bad enough you have to fight the Dems...but when you have to fight sellouts who pretend to be for the American people, but are only there for power and profit, it makes it hard to do good.

Tom Homan is a guy who knows what needs to be done with the border.  This is an excellent pick by President Donald Trump.

"Trump to appoint former ICE Director Tom Homan as next ‘border czar’: ‘nobody better at policing our borders’

Trump said Homan 'will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin'

Illegal border crossings surged under the Biden administration, with nearly 3 million in fiscal year 2024, according to Homeland Security’s website. There have been more than 10.8 million illegal encounters since FY 2021.

Trump vowed during his campaign he would once again take a hard-line approach to securing the border.

"It’s going to be a well-targeted, planned operation conducted by the men of ICE. The men and women of ICE do this daily. They’re good at it," Homan said during a Fox News interview on Sunday, adding that deportations would be a "humane operation."

Sorry... I have seen this being reported on one of his first steps ---  Cutting Funding to Sanctuary Cities ---- great place to start.

"Ramaswamy explained that the plan includes cutting all government funding that currently benefits undocumented immigrants, including federal aid to sanctuary cities. By limiting financial support, he suggested, many undocumented individuals would choose “self-deportation” as access to welfare and other support is restricted, potentially leading to a significant reduction in their numbers.

Linking Immigration Reform to National Debt
Trump’s proposal aligns with ongoing debates around government spending, with Ramaswamy positioning it as part of a larger strategy to reduce the national debt, now at $34 trillion. “Using taxpayer money to subsidise illegal migration is offensive,” he stated, adding that the policy respects “the dignity of Americans already here.”

          A Polarising Issue Among Voters
Trump’s commitment to large-scale deportations is reinforced by his running mate, JD Vance, who suggests the plan could result in the deportation of up to one million people annually. Trump’s immigration adviser, Stephen Miller, has proposed that National Guard troops from supportive states could help in these efforts.

Using the National Guard and Expanding Resources
Miller has suggested that states willing to cooperate may deploy National Guard troops to assist in deportations, especially in areas resistant to these policies. Trump’s team also plans to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, allowing for the swift deportation of alleged gang members. This move could prompt legal challenges, but proponents believe it is a powerful tool for expediting deportations.

Can I ask, are you expecting an economic boon from this mass deportation effort?    It would seem that the economic ramifications have not been adequately addressed.

Also, what happened to states rights???

Odd question, but I have great faith that Trump will work to keep his promises. I don’t believe he would have made those promises unless he truly felt he could deliver on them. While I don't know the specifics of his plans, as I've never seen any candidate lay out detailed, step-by-step plans on paper, I wouldn't have voted for him if I didn't believe he would do a good job and give his best effort to fulfill his commitments. I’m on board with all he has offered and believe in his ability to follow through.

Trump has a good history of respecting state rights. he proved that during the Pandemic, even though he thought in such a Crisis he could have done more.  He has expressed he respects the state's rights on abortion. I am also sure he will abide by the laws regarding state's rights.

I don't think it's odd at all to want to understand the economic impact of a policy put forward by Trump that he says will be enacted on day one.     I'm not asking about him keeping his promises.  Wondering if anyone is concerned about the fall out of those promises?

                In brief...

"Beyond the direct financial cost of mass deportation, we also estimated the impact on the U.S. economy. Due to the loss of workers across U.S. industries, we found that mass deportation would reduce the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) by 4.2 to 6.8 percent. It would also result in significant reduction in tax revenues for the U.S. government. In 2022 alone, undocumented immigrant households paid $46.8 billion in federal taxes and $29.3 billion in state and local taxes. Undocumented immigrants also contributed $22.6 billion to Social Security and $5.7 billion to Medicare.

Mass deportations would cause significant labor shocks across multiple key industries, with especially acute impacts on construction, agriculture, and the hospitality sector. We estimate that nearly 14 percent of people employed in the construction industry are undocumented. Removing that labor would disrupt all forms of construction across the nation, from homes to businesses to basic infrastructure. As industries suffer, hundreds of thousands of U.S.-born workers could lose their jobs.".

I think we all have reason to be concerned about him keeping his promises...

I don’t share your concerns; I have full faith that the deportation plan will be well thought out and executed as smoothly as possible. As for the finances required, one potential source of funding could be the federal funds currently allocated to sanctuary cities, which could be redirected to cover the costs of the deportation program. While I don't have specific details on other funding sources, I’ve seen the FEMA program’s expenditures, which currently support millions of undocumented individuals. It’s likely the FEMA program would be phased out, and those funds could be repurposed for this effort.

I have no concerns about where the money will come from. In the end, I believe illegal migrants need to be deported. Additionally, if there’s a need for workers, there’s a system for them to work, like with green cards. With around 11 million people to vet, I don’t believe we’ll have a shortage of workers to fill those roles.

I never worry about something that has not happened... I mean what in the world good does that do?

    What?!

"President-elect Donald Trump demanded that the next Republican leader of the Senate agree to allow him to push through nominees without requiring a vote, a move that would give more power to the White House to get around congressional opposition".

Despite an incoming Republican majority, Trump wants new party leadership to agree to recess appointments...why?

He wants to bypass the Senate's advice and consent role entirely.

"The Constitution's Recess Appointment Clause grants presidents the ability to "fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate." The maneuver is considered to be a way to make swift appointments during the Senate's absence, according to a report by the Congressional Research Service, which notes that recess appointments have also been used for political reasons — for instance, to make an appointment on a temporary basis for an individual who would not be confirmed by the Senate."

Well golly gee folks... I wonder who's coming down the pike?  Some nominees who are so abhorrent that even with their majority Trump worries won't be confirmed? Yikes.

Trump has nominated Pete Hegseth for defense secretary! I’m really hoping Tulsi gets appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff… Come on, Trump!

I couldn’t be more pleased with this choice—Pete is all about loving and protecting America.

I’m having trouble keeping up with all these appointments—Trump is moving fast. But that’s his talent: staying one step ahead and preventing problems rather than creating them.

Share... what doubts?  I was not going to bore anyone with why I really like the choice. But here it goes.

Just a few reasons why I believe Pete Hegseth would make a great Secretary of Defense.

His great education--  he graduated from Princeton University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After that, he went on to complete a master's degree in public policy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

His education, particularly from these prestigious institutions, has greatly shaped his strategic thinking and deepened his understanding of government and military policy. This kind of background is exactly what we need in a Secretary of Defense, as it combines both intellectual rigor and a practical understanding of the complexities facing our military and national security.

Let me add, that his extensive military experience provides a strong foundation for the role. As an Army veteran with service in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, Hegseth earned two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge, showcasing his leadership and dedication on the ground.

Beyond his military service, Hegseth's leadership in the veteran advocacy organization Concerned Veterans for America demonstrates his deep commitment to addressing the needs of our armed forces, ensuring they receive the support they deserve. His understanding of both military operations and veteran affairs makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the head of the Department of Defense.

I believe Pete Hegseth’s experience as a host at Fox News will be incredibly valuable in his role as Secretary of Defense. Over the years, he's developed a strong ability to address complex military and national security issues in a way that’s both accessible and engaging. His role at Fox has allowed him to discuss and advocate for policies that prioritize a strong, secure America, which aligns with the values we need in our military leadership.

His experience navigating complex topics and communicating them effectively to a broad audience has honed his skills in strategic communication—something that will be crucial in his role at the Department of Defense. As Secretary of Defense, Hegseth’s ability to clearly articulate military priorities, defend policy decisions, and advocate for the interests of the military will help ensure that our armed forces are well-equipped to protect the nation.

I must add, this is my personal view, His public commitment to patriotism and Christian values, paired with a proven track record of leadership, makes him an outstanding candidate for Secretary of Defense.

I am going long... could go on and on------

But I would be very interested in what your doubts are.  I mean you have opened the door.
