The news today indicates that that terrible misogynist, worst since Genghis Khan, made his first choice today. His new Chief of Staff is Susie Wiles. The same woman that was his campaign manager.
What else can we expect from this vile woman hater, this misogynist from centuries past? Even more women chosen for his cabinet or other positions of power as he values their abilities and knowledge?
Yes! Now this pissed me off! Can he be charged with something due to this appointment?
I believe he will be very strategic in who he brings on board this time, and it’s clear he’s planning to clean house—something he should have done in his first term. I’m beyond excited and thrilled that he chose Susie Wiles as his Chief of Staff; she’s made history as the first woman in this role! I actually had a list of top people I hoped he would hire, and she was on it—so, check!
I think he went to work as soon as he woke up yesterday, and we will most likely be hearing daily what he is up to.
Here we go with the next crop of "all the best people". Who suddenly become dumb as rocks when they voice opposition and are summarily fired. The only thing I think he will do a better job at in terms of hiring this go around? Screening for die hard loyalists. Only "yes" men and women
How many held the position of Chief of staff in the first Trump regime? Four? I wonder how long she'll be around.
She was his campaign manager. I imagine he knows her pretty well; how long she lasts likely depends on how well she likes the job.
How well she likes the job? As soon as she disagrees with any of Trump's demented nonsense she'll be axed and disparaged just like all the others were.
Yup! Just like she was axed as his campaign manager.
Still, if "disparaged" means "Given a job" it might be worth it.
Dan, Will the constant hate and endless predictions about what Trump might do ever stop? Maybe it’s time some people focus on what he actually did during his presidency. It’s predictable at this point—critics never fail to miss an opportunity to speculate, but it always makes me laugh when Trump defies those expectations and his real accomplishments get ignored.
I mean this mindset is so odd to me. To be predicting the downfall before Trump has even been sworn in... Yikes
Such a misogynist, I am waiting for Tulsi to be hired, again I think her appointment could be another historic appointment --- perhaps the Secretary of Defense. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do feel, she will be taken with him when he returns to Washington. Hey, I can dream, can't I?
No.
Never.
To build a future... unburdened by what has been...
But first, the whole system must be burned to the ground... right turned into wrong... normal turned into the unacceptable, and so on...
The goal is Open Borders... the goal is International Agency control not National Sovereignty... the goal is China's Global Supremacy...
There is more than one 'movement' within America that does not have the best interests of America or Americans at heart...
And there is of course the UN Agenda 2030 ... the Paris Accord Agreements... and so many more efforts to strip/gut the wealth of America from Americans... not its corporations and institutions... but the People... the Free peoples who reject their Agendas and Authority.
Did your Mom ever tell you that if you made a face it would freeze that way forever?
I begin to wonder if TDS isn't forever, just like that tale from Mom. Once infected even death won't stop it; it will just transfer to someone else. Hate has a way of living on. And on and on and on.
MSN already slamming her. Sicko's. Always ready to slander anyone they find it necessary to do so. Not sure how long these talking heads will be given a voice --- I would think the network's big wigs will admonish them, and give them a new platform--- be nice or hit the road. The left media outlets are fading fast-- just no one tuning in.
Yes, left-leaning media like CNN and MSNBC have been losing viewers in recent month. Both networks saw significant drops in viewership, with MSNBC's primetime audience declining by 29% and CNN's primetime numbers falling by 21% compared to previous weeks. This on top of the past year's decline, makes me wonder if anyone is watching. Oh my.
The question becomes (and the answer will be fascinating) is/was it a matter of $$ or do the top echelons not care about viewership in their program to influence? Was the obvious bias because they thought it would earn them more money or because of their own bias being the driving force?
In other words will their bias suddenly switch sides? Either way, a sad statement.
Interesting, I couldn't find any left leaning media "slamming" her?
CNN was significantly down in linear viewership from 2020, essentially halving its audience with just 4.7M viewers, compared to 9.6M four years ago.
Part of that is people (young people) getting their news from YouTube.
I think the trend now is to get one's news from other sources. I like to use Youtube too.

Yeah, I think he is going to be a very busy man.
They are up to their corrupt DC shenanigans in the Senate ...trying to set up another anti-Trump Republican leadership like he had to fight last time.
Bad enough you have to fight the Dems...but when you have to fight sellouts who pretend to be for the American people, but are only there for power and profit, it makes it hard to do good.
Tom Homan is a guy who knows what needs to be done with the border. This is an excellent pick by President Donald Trump.
"Trump to appoint former ICE Director Tom Homan as next ‘border czar’: ‘nobody better at policing our borders’
Trump said Homan 'will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin'
Illegal border crossings surged under the Biden administration, with nearly 3 million in fiscal year 2024, according to Homeland Security’s website. There have been more than 10.8 million illegal encounters since FY 2021.
Trump vowed during his campaign he would once again take a hard-line approach to securing the border.
"It’s going to be a well-targeted, planned operation conducted by the men of ICE. The men and women of ICE do this daily. They’re good at it," Homan said during a Fox News interview on Sunday, adding that deportations would be a "humane operation."

Where are the details of this Mass deportation plan? It is promised for day one and that is quickly approaching. Specifically how this gets funded? And where is the analysis of the cost to our economy?
Relax...we've got over a month and a half before the swearing in of President Donald Trump and the Republican Senate and possible house. Tom Homan JUST got appointed.
Oh absolutely not. We are on maga time now. You know, where everything happens very quickly? Where the world's largest economy can turn on a dime?
Sorry... When Biden turns off the lights in the oval on his last in office, I expect the bounty that Trump has promised the very next day when he flips that light switch. Oh yeah.. my grocery bill, my insurance, gas prices , housing affordability...ALL of it. No excuses and absolutely no talk about time needed.
I have seen this being reported on one of his first steps --- Cutting Funding to Sanctuary Cities ---- great place to start.
"Ramaswamy explained that the plan includes cutting all government funding that currently benefits undocumented immigrants, including federal aid to sanctuary cities. By limiting financial support, he suggested, many undocumented individuals would choose “self-deportation” as access to welfare and other support is restricted, potentially leading to a significant reduction in their numbers.
Linking Immigration Reform to National Debt
Trump’s proposal aligns with ongoing debates around government spending, with Ramaswamy positioning it as part of a larger strategy to reduce the national debt, now at $34 trillion. “Using taxpayer money to subsidise illegal migration is offensive,” he stated, adding that the policy respects “the dignity of Americans already here.”
A Polarising Issue Among Voters
Trump’s commitment to large-scale deportations is reinforced by his running mate, JD Vance, who suggests the plan could result in the deportation of up to one million people annually. Trump’s immigration adviser, Stephen Miller, has proposed that National Guard troops from supportive states could help in these efforts.
Using the National Guard and Expanding Resources
Miller has suggested that states willing to cooperate may deploy National Guard troops to assist in deportations, especially in areas resistant to these policies. Trump’s team also plans to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, allowing for the swift deportation of alleged gang members. This move could prompt legal challenges, but proponents believe it is a powerful tool for expediting deportations.
Can I ask, are you expecting an economic boon from this mass deportation effort? It would seem that the economic ramifications have not been adequately addressed.
Also, what happened to states rights???
Odd question, but I have great faith that Trump will work to keep his promises. I don’t believe he would have made those promises unless he truly felt he could deliver on them. While I don't know the specifics of his plans, as I've never seen any candidate lay out detailed, step-by-step plans on paper, I wouldn't have voted for him if I didn't believe he would do a good job and give his best effort to fulfill his commitments. I’m on board with all he has offered and believe in his ability to follow through.
Trump has a good history of respecting state rights. he proved that during the Pandemic, even though he thought in such a Crisis he could have done more. He has expressed he respects the state's rights on abortion. I am also sure he will abide by the laws regarding state's rights.
I don't think it's odd at all to want to understand the economic impact of a policy put forward by Trump that he says will be enacted on day one. I'm not asking about him keeping his promises. Wondering if anyone is concerned about the fall out of those promises?
In brief...
"Beyond the direct financial cost of mass deportation, we also estimated the impact on the U.S. economy. Due to the loss of workers across U.S. industries, we found that mass deportation would reduce the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) by 4.2 to 6.8 percent. It would also result in significant reduction in tax revenues for the U.S. government. In 2022 alone, undocumented immigrant households paid $46.8 billion in federal taxes and $29.3 billion in state and local taxes. Undocumented immigrants also contributed $22.6 billion to Social Security and $5.7 billion to Medicare.
Mass deportations would cause significant labor shocks across multiple key industries, with especially acute impacts on construction, agriculture, and the hospitality sector. We estimate that nearly 14 percent of people employed in the construction industry are undocumented. Removing that labor would disrupt all forms of construction across the nation, from homes to businesses to basic infrastructure. As industries suffer, hundreds of thousands of U.S.-born workers could lose their jobs.".
I think we all have reason to be concerned about him keeping his promises...
https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil. … eportation
I don’t share your concerns; I have full faith that the deportation plan will be well thought out and executed as smoothly as possible. As for the finances required, one potential source of funding could be the federal funds currently allocated to sanctuary cities, which could be redirected to cover the costs of the deportation program. While I don't have specific details on other funding sources, I’ve seen the FEMA program’s expenditures, which currently support millions of undocumented individuals. It’s likely the FEMA program would be phased out, and those funds could be repurposed for this effort.
I have no concerns about where the money will come from. In the end, I believe illegal migrants need to be deported. Additionally, if there’s a need for workers, there’s a system for them to work, like with green cards. With around 11 million people to vet, I don’t believe we’ll have a shortage of workers to fill those roles.
I never worry about something that has not happened... I mean what in the world good does that do?
"I never worry about something that has not happened..."
Really? I've watched many a maga follower on these forums fret over unknowns or expected outcomes for quite some time. It would seem now that maga is asking the rest of us to give a grace to Trump that was never given to the Biden administration.
I can't speak for the millions who voted for Trump or those who post here—that’s what we call individualism. I live in the present, always have. Yesterday is gone, today is today, and tomorrow is tomorrow.
I don’t like to dwell on what-ifs, because, as a rule, I end up looking foolish, and in the end, worrying doesn’t change anything. I feel I have no real power to change what happens in Washington, except for my vote. I can control my own little world, but beyond that—nothing. I do have confidence in Trump, based on his past job performance. But how he will pay for deporting millions? I’m not sure. I trust he will be mindful of our resources. Will I be right? I don’t know.
I am not going to bad-mouth him for a plan, I hope his plan works. If they don't. I’ll be right there to hold him accountable.
A bit of perspective. Recess appointments are not uncommon. Obama did many of them. This is nothing new.
HISTORY OF RECESS APPOINTMENTS Many presidents throughout history have used recess appointments to fill vacancies in government — including at the highest rungs of power.
“The most famous case of a recess appointment was when President Andrew Johnson fired Secretary of War Edwin Stanton in 1867, and replaced him temporarily (i.e., recess appointment) with Ulysses S. Grant as interim Secretary of War,” Semiatin said. Similarly, in September 1953, President Dwight Eisenhower appointed Earl Warren as chief justice of the Supreme Court through a recess appointment, Cameron said. He was confirmed by the Senate five months later. Twenty-first century presidents have also made numerous recess appointments.
President George W. Bush made 171, and, as of February 2015, President Barack Obama had made 32, according to CRS.
"President George W. Bush made 171, and, as of February 2015, President Barack Obama had made 32, according to CRS."
Yes, but those are men of honesty and integrity. They are men of upstanding character while Trump is a miscreant. I have no faith that he will not abuse his powers.
Yes, Typically, the Senate must approve presidential nominations for high-level posts, including cabinet positions, ambassadorships, and inspector general jobs, in a process outlined in the US Constitution.
This procedure is meant to be a check on presidential power, a way of ensuring officials directly elected by citizens can guard against the appointment of unqualified or corrupt personnel....As a citizen, I want it in place. Many of us absolutely do not trust Trump.
"those are men of honesty and integrity"
Are you kidding me? Do you know any history of either of these men?
You can stay in your fantasy world all you want.
Let me ask you who got the United State into the Iraq War? Who kicked thousands of Americans off of their insurance plans and forced them to take insurance plans they did not want? Not to mention killing Americans in foreign lands with no trial. Don't get me started. I could go on and on and on.
Those of you who do no trust President Donald Trump are the minority.
That is reality.
"Those of you who do no trust President Donald Trump are the minority."
Lol there are 71 million people in this country who voted against Trump. He will rule with a very small mandate . His popular vote numbers this time? About 74 million.... Approximately the same number of his loss in 2020.
When you discount the 10 million fraudulent ballots from CA... it was only 61 million real live Americans that voted for Harris.
CA should be forced out of the Union.
There are absolutely no fraudulent ballots in California. What I do find hilarious is that your guy started to scream election fraud and when things started to swing in his direction he shut his big ugly mouth real quick...and lol , Force California out of the union? What do you think the economy of this country would look like without California? Quite a handful of our red states wouldn't survive without the money provided by California's contributions.
Your party lost, Trump had what will shape up as 6 million more popular votes. Your party lost the Senate, and the House... It is obvious Democrats sat home. That alone should tell you something. the majority of voters have spoken, you are factually in the losing party, the minority of voters. I would think you would be asking yourself why, instead of insulting the majority.
"Trump had what will shape up as 6 million more popular votes."
This is not correct. Currently I'm seeing a just over 3 million vote difference.
I stand corrected, my info was from a few days ago, and after checking my source, it was predicted he would win by 5 to 6 million due to 5 million votes not yet counted.
Also I think everyone needs to remember, Trump did not win the majority vote of all eligible voters in this country. Simply those that chose to vote. And Democrats clearly decided to sit this one out. But in terms of where the country stands? In terms of unity, we are essentially in the exact same place we were in 2020. That to me, is the biggest loss.
It's clear that many citizens on both sides chose to sit this one out. I’ve mentioned before that I doubt the country will ever truly unite, as ideological differences have deeply divided us. Ideologies and values are issues where people rarely find common ground.
Republicans are unlikely to buy into leftist ideologies due to fundamental differences in core values and beliefs. At the heart of conservatism is an emphasis on limited government, personal responsibility, individual liberties, and traditional social as well as religious values.
Its BS... its a bunch of absentee and mail in ballots from states that don't even require IDs to be shown... those states should be discounted from the election process... if you can't get your vote count in on election day, and/or you don't require IDs or validation and secure control of Mail in Ballots in your State then your State voting process is fraudulent.
One of the top issues they need to address is finding a way to END the insanity of states like CA... where it is illegal to ask for voter ID... what... a... joke... of... the... Democratic... process.
People can travel from voting district to voting district... early voting and day of voting... casting ballots as often as they can... its a disgrace.
Once the State that was the shining example to the world... fast-tracking to becoming the cesspool of America.
Article 1, Section 4 of the Constitution explains that the States have the primary authority over election administration, the "times, places, and manner of holding elections".
Is this yet another power you would like to see clawed back to the executive? To the legislative?
I thought you folks were about small government...states rights... LOL
"Yes, but those are men of honesty and integrity. They are men of upstanding character while Trump is a miscreant. I have no faith that he will not abuse his powers. "
WHAT? You have just insulted at least half of the Americans who voted for Trump...
The fact is, a majority of people supported Trump, and that deserves acknowledgment. He has every right to select his cabinet and utilize all the tools available to past presidents, along with everything that comes with the office. We The People elected him and sent him to Washington to fulfill his promises. I, for one, would be disappointed to see his presidency treated unfairly in any way. I sincerely hope that everything requiring Congressional approval will pass smoothly, just as it did for many presidents before him.
Yes, we all have the right to free speech, so here’s my take—I don’t share your view of Obama at all. While I won’t resort to insults, as he’s part of the past now, I could certainly offer a critical perspective on his presidency.
"WHAT? You have just insulted at least half of the Americans who voted for Trump..."
Could I have construed your daily criticisms on the Biden administration and on Harris as the same? Were you insulting the other half of the country or just expressing an opinion?
Let's remember that 71 million of us voted against Trump...the 74 million votes he won with this election are the same exact number he lost to Biden with. No mandate for me.
"I, for one, would be disappointed to see his presidency treated unfairly in any way".
LOL as many on this forum have treated the Biden presidency? I think we need to revisit some posts. I'm absolutely fine with treating the Trump presidency in the same manner the Biden presidency was treated.
The stick that maga used to beat Biden... Well I and many others will be picking it and using it on Trump.
Guess we both vented... It is clear that I constantly point out what I found unexcusable about the Biden administration, as well as the problems I felt he had cognitively. I would assume many saw things much the way I did.
For this I feel good about, in some respects vindicated.
I was glad to see Trump appoint former ICE Director Tom Homan as border czar. Homan worked his way up through the ranks and is a strong supporter of Trump's agenda. Having people like him is essential for advancing Trump's policies. I like what I see...
What?!
"President-elect Donald Trump demanded that the next Republican leader of the Senate agree to allow him to push through nominees without requiring a vote, a move that would give more power to the White House to get around congressional opposition".
Despite an incoming Republican majority, Trump wants new party leadership to agree to recess appointments...why?
He wants to bypass the Senate's advice and consent role entirely.
"The Constitution's Recess Appointment Clause grants presidents the ability to "fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate." The maneuver is considered to be a way to make swift appointments during the Senate's absence, according to a report by the Congressional Research Service, which notes that recess appointments have also been used for political reasons — for instance, to make an appointment on a temporary basis for an individual who would not be confirmed by the Senate."
Well golly gee folks... I wonder who's coming down the pike? Some nominees who are so abhorrent that even with their majority Trump worries won't be confirmed? Yikes.
Has anyone figured out where those extra 10 mil votes for Biden came from in 2020? One of those 'Unsolved Mysteries'.
Trump has nominated Pete Hegseth for defense secretary! I’m really hoping Tulsi gets appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff… Come on, Trump!
I couldn’t be more pleased with this choice—Pete is all about loving and protecting America.
I’m having trouble keeping up with all these appointments—Trump is moving fast. But that’s his talent: staying one step ahead and preventing problems rather than creating them.
I have my doubts with Hegseth. Yup, it is exciting and I'm having fun with witnessing the unfolding of the new government.
Share... what doubts? I was not going to bore anyone with why I really like the choice. But here it goes.
Just a few reasons why I believe Pete Hegseth would make a great Secretary of Defense.
His great education-- he graduated from Princeton University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After that, he went on to complete a master's degree in public policy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
His education, particularly from these prestigious institutions, has greatly shaped his strategic thinking and deepened his understanding of government and military policy. This kind of background is exactly what we need in a Secretary of Defense, as it combines both intellectual rigor and a practical understanding of the complexities facing our military and national security.
Let me add, that his extensive military experience provides a strong foundation for the role. As an Army veteran with service in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, Hegseth earned two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge, showcasing his leadership and dedication on the ground.
Beyond his military service, Hegseth's leadership in the veteran advocacy organization Concerned Veterans for America demonstrates his deep commitment to addressing the needs of our armed forces, ensuring they receive the support they deserve. His understanding of both military operations and veteran affairs makes him uniquely qualified to serve as the head of the Department of Defense.
I believe Pete Hegseth’s experience as a host at Fox News will be incredibly valuable in his role as Secretary of Defense. Over the years, he's developed a strong ability to address complex military and national security issues in a way that’s both accessible and engaging. His role at Fox has allowed him to discuss and advocate for policies that prioritize a strong, secure America, which aligns with the values we need in our military leadership.
His experience navigating complex topics and communicating them effectively to a broad audience has honed his skills in strategic communication—something that will be crucial in his role at the Department of Defense. As Secretary of Defense, Hegseth’s ability to clearly articulate military priorities, defend policy decisions, and advocate for the interests of the military will help ensure that our armed forces are well-equipped to protect the nation.
I must add, this is my personal view, His public commitment to patriotism and Christian values, paired with a proven track record of leadership, makes him an outstanding candidate for Secretary of Defense.
I am going long... could go on and on------
But I would be very interested in what your doubts are. I mean you have opened the door.
You claimed doubt --- so did you have doubts or do you need to look for them? Your context was clear. You have your doubts.
No, I have my doubts from the several articles I have read and my knowledge with experience. I'm considering your post and the info you provided. Sometimes things take time to process to arrive at a new different conclusion, if it does.
