This has been a detail Congress refuses to address because of the control they currently enjoy.  If there is one thing you will see Bi-Partisan in Congress is the cooperation the slime will exercise with this issue.  They do not wish to give the government back to the citizenry because the money is too good and you have the biggest bunch of theives watching your back as long as you cooperate.

It is the age old fox watching the hen house.  We allow the fox to take what he wants to live without confronting him and perhaps getting a little roughed up trying to stop him.  The problem is that little fox is now a hungry wolf that will not allow anyone to deny him his prey.

I support the idea, although I can see how it might fail if not done right.

I think everyone would support it, except the politicians who depended on corporate contributions to win their election. That would be almost all of them.

Absolutely, but it's only a fantasy.  You can see the grip that big money has on our governing body in the push-back against the health care and finance reform.  We have been bought and paid for during the Bush/Cheney years, and our new massahs are not about to give our democracy back to us.  We could fight back by replacing political hacks like Nelson, Lincoln, McConnell, Boehner, (and most of the GOP) with legislators, but we won't because the Tea Party Movement and racists organizations (maybe the same thing) have muddied the water enough to where the truth no longer matters.  Dick Army, Fox and Friends, etc., et nauseum, have manipulated the whole psycho drama since they "lost" power. They are hateful people pushing hateful advertising, and they are good at it the way the Devil is good at striking one-sided bargains.  We can try.

I think all the tv stations and radio stations should provide the coverage for free, and that would be it.
Have debates, have interviews, fair and square between them all.
What better use of the public air-waves? Rather than having some of  them as basically a 24 hr commercial for one specific party....*hint* *hint*

public airwaves--provide public debate for voters, that should be enough.
No commercials allowed...no specail attention for one or two...even coverage.

    (I can dream can't I?)
