At least Paul had the decency to fire his goon.  Would he have done so if it wasn't caught on camera?

I don't approve of thuggery whether it be Teatard thuggery or SEIU thuggery.

"Other recent Carnahan appearances, including one earlier this week on the Cash for Clunkers program, have drawn similar protests. And last week, hundreds turned out to voice their opinions on reforms to the staff of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo.

"Carnahan issued a statement after the Thursday night’s forum, saying: "Sadly we’ve seen stories about disrupters around the country, and we have a handful of them here in Missouri. Instead of participating in a civil debate, they have mobilized with special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system." …

Give Rush and Glenn a day or two and they'll have proof good enough to convince 60% of America of the existance of the conspiracy. Of course all that takes is for them to tell the story and finish it up with a heartfelt "honest injun" and the masses celebrate their genius. Ya know, America might just be the best arguement against evolution. The more information that becomes available to Americans, the dumber they get.

There is no reason to go back 42 years to find democrat thuggery.

Happens everyday and will happen again next week.

Along with the typical lie that the election was stolen or the story of racist election officials not allowing democrat voters within 100 miles of an election site.

Some of that was was exaggerated but we will have to wait until next week to know which.

You are right up to a point Tobey.  Since we don't get to see the part of the video that leads up to the attack, it's impossible to say - there might have been a good reason to pull her to the ground.  But there was absolutely no reason to stomp on her once she was on the ground and not fighting back.

And yes, getting beat up is an occupational hazard of activists.  Civil rights activists got beaten up all the time and even killed in the 60s.  That doesn't justify the actions of the assailants.

  5. habee profile image91

This was totally wrong! But - she shouldn't have run up to Paul's car and shoved a RepubliCore sign in Paul's face, either. The woman was subdued, and Paul was not in danger, so the TP guys way overdid it. I wonder...what would have happened if a bewigged activist had rushed up to a car carrying our POTUS and shoved something in his face? Furthermore, I didn't see any "stomping." I saw a large man put his foot on the woman's shoulder, then his foot slid down near her neck. Still, he over-reacted. The action was completely unnecessary! As I said, she was no longer a physical threat to Paul, and the situation had been diffused.

And no, I didn't like the SEIU thuggery, either. There's no place for that kind of stuff, IMO.

Watch the video again.  The front of his foot was an her shoulder and then he pushed her head onto the curb with his heal.  I don't think concussions are caused by "holding someone down" with your foot.

Asking the victim for an apology was classic.

      1. habee profile image91
habeeposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Ron, evidently, we're not watching the same video. Her head was already on the curb when the goon stepped on it. I'm sure it was painful, still. It doesn't fit the Southern definition of "stomping," though. Of course, we have our own language "down here."

Don't get me wrong - I think the action was TOTALLY uncalled for! It's a classic case of political testosterone poisoning.

I watched the video Ron supplied and on second viewing saw where the head was pushed back against the ground.
