   it sounds to me like the term conservative needs to be defined, or rather restored or something of the like...
   
   I always thought there was something creepy about Gingrich...
   
   there is no end to the spectrum of the varying beliefs of what is conservative and what is liberal
   
   any member of the CFR is no American as far as I am concerned...

      One of my college roommates is a member of the CFR (I assume you mean Council on Foreign Relations). As far as I know he's a conservative Democrat. He made a bundle running several hedge funds. My impression is that the members of the Council on Foreign Relations span the spectrum of moderate, conventional economic and political beliefs. Mr. McManus is a fringe radical who would like to change a whole lot of long accepted things about our government which, by my definition, takes him out of the conservative category.
      
      I agree that Gingrich is a creep. But not stupid.

   If you read Gingrich's novels based in history you will see a man that has a clear understanding of world history and politics. When you read his political resume, you will see a man that does not always seem to legislate according to his world view. What could influence him to do such a thing...I wonder quietly to myself...LOL  My opinion, Gingrich is simply coin operated.

   Gingrich is a different version of Palin. He's a lot smarter and much more savvy, but still an opportunist whore. He is focused on self promotion. His biggest ambition in his life is to make sure he has a significant notation in history--the way he perceives himself. However, I think the public and media are pretty much on to him at this point.

   In order to make himself more appealing, old Newt has transformed himself into a new breed of politician.  He's now a Moderate Liberal Conservative.  MLCs don't even need to know which way the wind's blowing.  They just need a live body walking in front so they have someone to follow.  Doesn't matter who it might be as a true MLC will never look up.

      Sorry.  Palin doesn't have a movement.  She's our version of a 'community organizer'.  If the squirrel we have now can get elected with his background and lack of experience, all Palin has to do is community organize for another 12 months and she's at the top of the ballot.
