If only Obama actually WAS a student of history we might not be suffering with such high unemployment today! If only the democrats didn't make that sharp left turn to socialism we might be freer and more prosperous than ever before! If only...

Remind me, did Obama lead you to these high levels of unemployment?

No, 30 years of Profits over People did. Obama is working to bring the jobs back. As well as suggesting new ones!

Let's see if he gets help from the GOP, who's mantra is....give us tax-cuts for the super rich, you will get jobs.

Guess what? They lied! oooopos, sorry---"stretched the truth". There ARE no jobs in their agenda....just more Right-Wing Ideology.

Profits over people, and Their Religion Rules America. Rich get richer, poor and middle class can suck eggs. Women--back to the Stone Age, minorities, back to second class status.

        This what people voted for?

government can't create wealth. Sure, it looks like jobs are being created, but in reality the money to pay for those jobs came from someone else who was doing something more valuable.

Gvt created Cheney's wealth, and he did  nothing valuable for the 40 years he's been in there. IMHO

He got plenty of wealth from the gvt.
            As did Bachmann
            Armey
Gingrich.....all these people who hate gvt.

According to your own profile: you're a junior executive, you party on your free time, and you spend your free time writing poetry and singing karaoke with friends. You also have plenty of free time for casual debates on the internet (as do I). How exactly is Obama causing you so much suffering, and what can your fellow hubbers do to help you out?

When Reagan took office it was at 6.4% and by the beginning of his 3rd year, it was at 10.8%. FACT. Maybe you should try actually being a student of history or a student of anything other than right wing talking points, spoon fed to you. An original thought for once would be nice from you.

Very good point about Regan.  He had the highest AVERAGE unemployment across two terms of any postwar president.

I'm convinced an original thought would die of loneliness.

You think Obama actually cares about any of that????  He's in the pockets of globalist bankers, and those folks have a whole different agenda; basically, he's a treasonous President, just like all of them before him since the time of Kennedy.

    He's JUST like JFK!!

He told the Better Business Bureau...aka owners of the GOP, that they need to ask not what the country can do for them, but what they can give back to the country!

    Brilliant! And about dam time.

        Yeah, actually he was.
After they shot him, his brother, MLK and X is when this country went down-hill.

If you want that mentioned you would have to mention it yourself, or it will not be mentioned.

How can that be when there is a 'Taxed Enough Already' revolution?

And who is leading this "Taxed Enough Revolution" anyway?
People who have nothing real to complain about, obviously lol

The pimps behind the 'revolution' are the greedy SOBs who created the economic mess we are in - and have no intention of paying fair taxes.

Sadly a large number of fools are willing to  play their role for the pimps - figure out what that role is -  to make sure the super rich never have to pay over 15% taxes on capital gains (paper unearned income) when a working professional pays over 30%.

That's right - if you don't work for it, you pay HALF what a working man does.
