President Obamas closing lines to his speech when he announced to the world that Bin Laden was dead.

"Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are: one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Obama

What do his words mean to you?

Obama's continual well constructed lies that somehow suck in the sheeple despite the fact that every time he speaks, he lies.

      Liberty and justice for all?

What a crock. Bin Laden didn't get a trial - how the F is that justice?

He was never found guilty by a group of peers - that ain't justice.

They mean sacred things, in that particular instance coming outta an un-sacred mouth....

Why's that Brenda? Cos everybody knows he's a Muslim? lol

Partly, indeed! At least he's the one who spoke of his "Muslim faith"!  In true form, the reporter covered for him by saying "you mean your Christian faith"......typical.
But it's 'cause he conveniently uses the name of God when it will make himself look good, and then disses God's name when....well, when it will make himself look good from other tangents.   He plays with the idea of God, yet such unGodly things come from his tongue.

From my experience that is pretty typical Christian behaviour.

Then you've not been around Christians much or for extended periods of time?

Obama is unrepentant about anything he does or says.  He seems to have no conscience, or at least he exhibits no conscience.

A Christian will slip sometimes, they'll make mistakes, they'll sin.   But repentance occurs at some point, leading to forgiveness.

There's a song I really like.  It's written by a Catholic and is about Catholic priests, even though I'm not Catholic.  But it does illustrate the Christian life.
Part of it says "We fall down and get up.  And the saints are just the sinners who fall down and get up".

Obama has exhibited no desire to get up from his fallen nature.

Unfortunately the people who've done me the worst harm in my life have all professed to be devout Christians, be they politicians, like Thatcher, or people who I've assumed to be personal friends.

As you've probably worked out I'm an atheist, I have no higher authority to excuse my bad behaviour, I'm entirely responsible for everything I do, there is no divine being to give me forgiveness.

It only means he knows how to fool the general public.

One Nation? Not accurate- America isn't actually a "one" Nation. It's divided so much so it's ridiculous.

Under god? What god? Just shows he knows how to play to the majority of the religious.

      Indivisible? Again, not accurate.

Liberty? I'm not even sure if he knows what the word means.

Justice? Again, I am not sure if he knows what the word means.

As a political flip flop it denies the obvious and speaks the opposite of hte truth.

The ONLY reason the US can fly their murder drones over other countries, fly troops in and murder somebody at will - is ONLY because of its wealth and power.

The US is the most divided nation that has ever existed.

Liberty and Justice is not summary execution without trial - and it is not the dozens of botched attempts at killing 'targets' that has resulted in the murder of women and children in the cars and houses destroyed.

The long search for Mladic in Serbia that has just ended in his detention for trial is an example of justice allied with liberty - it is strange that these concepts are alive in such recently barbaric places and yet have dissapeared from the US.

to me after being in Beruit, Israel, The Northern African nations, it means Obama self-envoked America's so called right to Gods blessings alone.

but one big problem?  When did God say we had this right, and are we really positive God stands with us in "everything we do?"

Osama was killed for War crimes against the United States, and we retaliated. Do you really think God condoned either side?

You can justify anything in the context of Gods on our side folks, but...

there is a difference between Political Spin and God, we need to remember the boundries of that.

It means you can take the words of the pledge of allegiance out of context and use them for whatever purpose you want.

Simply that invoking the word God is a powerful tool used by politicians to rally the masses.

They mean that a politician has spoken.  Other than that they are sense free in the context in which they were used.

When I heard them I took them as a case of throwing in some words that have generally always been associated with patriotism, because his speech-writers (or he, I guess) are well aware of all the questions and accusations that have been flung around and implied that he isn't exactly thrilled with, proud of, loyal to, or rooted in his own nation.  So, I just thought he was taking advantage of the huge audience he had to use words with a proven track record of coming across as "powerful" and implying patriotism.  Personally, I think some situations call for coming up with one's own powerful words, rather than "verbally copying and pasting" - but then again, I suppose someone (a speech writer, him) might have thought there was some kind of reassurance in digging up old familiar words aimed at creating the impression he's actually an old fashioned, traditional, kind of fella.

Yeah, but I think Splitting the Sky is right.....their days are numbered.
Hell--Bush, Rice, Rummy have ALL been chased out of countries with people wanting to arrest them.
Chinless Cheney is all set to scram to Dubai with Erik Prince, the Christian Paedophile Pimp, and the Bush's have bought up acres and acres in Paraguay.

What they runnin from? It was funny to me that Sky said something that Obama also said in a speech: "We've been Hoodwinked."

That's what the conspiracy sites called the Fort Hood incident, as that was an obvious staged event as well.
Something to do with stolen Gold.....you know, the cabal of thiefs and murderers he referenced? Tungsten-plated, stolen from China....something like that.

Yeah--thiefs and murderers...what can you expect? And their loyal followers. Bowing and scraping to the Masters of Disaster!

        All Hail the King.
