   Here we go again. It's "I'm uber patriotic and he's not!" time in campaign land again.
   In 2008 the accusation was that Obama failed to wear the "de rigeur" flag lapel pin, thus proving he is less patriotic than any/all of the other candidates.
   
   Now, Mitt Romney is showing off how much (read: little) he knows about Americans' tradition of placing our hands over our hearts during the national anthem.
   I think he must get his information from Wikipedia. Only.
   Methinks he should just keep singing patriotic songs and not open himself up to fact checks like this.

         Romney is making up history about how Americans came to put their hands over their hearts when the Star Spangled Banner is played.
         Not unlike Sarah Palin rewriting the story of Paul Revere.
         And their supporters fall all over themselves to prove that their rewrites are right, even though they are clearly wrong.

         Mitt doesn't get a pass. The left has attacked him for his religion, his wealth, his tax rate, and his capitalism, while the right has attacked him for being too moderate and for passing RomneyCare. Mitt has also been attacked for comments that were taken out of context. You have to be aware of how Mitt has been attacked. And if he's the GOP nominee, Obama's PACs will spend millions attacking Romney. Unfortunately, that's politics in America, and both sides do it. I know you like to think that the liberals aren't guilty of attacks, but that's simply not true.
         
         Oh, and would you like me to post some links to Obama's lies? ALL politicians lie. And how can you say Mitt is never "called" on his lies? MM just posted a link to WaPo calling out Romney!

            Now..this is EXACTLY what happened! Somehow, Obama is not "one of us", right?
            
            Well, what about Mitt? Do they say he's less American because his father was born in Mexico?
            McCain wasn't even born in America...no question of his patriotism...Trump's mother was born in Scotland...does that make him less American? And Santorum mentioned something about being first generation American.....will they call him lacking in American values?
            
            No they won't. But oddly, Obama's heritage makes him less American--foreign, not really "like us"
            
            That is a huge double standard.
            
            And btw, he's more like me than Romney, who grew up priviledged in a wealthy suburb and attended Harvard.
            
            Ooops, there is another one!! Where is the "elite snob" label for attending Harvard? Or the "pointy-headed liberal" label?

                     They all lie. I wish it didn't all come down to money though. There are so many good people out there, who probably really care about our country and would serve it. Nobody does that anymore. It's a paid for popularity contest. I think Obama gets picked on more than most, although nobody seems to like Romney. Santorum and the Tea Party are scary to me, a liberal who is conservative on family values, but not so much that I want to rule over what people do in their own homes.

   I turned 60-years-young yesterday and after having worked in politics off and on for four decades and while celebrating with a group of young black kids from the "hood" in North Tulsa, I had a moment in which I was soooo sad about the state of my country, my future retirement or lack thereof and the future of my life and the lives of my students----
   
   For the same four decades,I have been teaching politics and government from my homes to young adults from coast-to-coast who have grown up in homes where these topics were NEVER discussed and as we all came together for my big 60,I got all serious for a minute and asked them all to PRAY for our nation and THEIR future and as I am usually more funny than serious this kind of caught everyone off guard; but they know I am seriously worried about their future and more importantly after a year of listening to me, they are now worried also and they should be and so should everyone of you.
   
   We should all be very worried about the future of our country and until or unless we ALL come together and stop bickering with each other and form an alliance against ALL of our LYING politicians and until or unless we reign them in and let them know that the jig is up and we KNOW their agenda then, we are doing exactly what they planned for us to do. They KNOW that a nation divided cannot stand and we have played right into their evil hands.We are moving like a freight train in a direction that will change our nation as we have come to know and love it forever if we do not wake up and learn about what they are doing to the sheep of this nation.
   
   In the 60's and 70's when I was a democrat,I worked with lots of them who were chronic liars--and as a truth seer and a truth seeker this was unacceptable to me,so in the late 70's,I began working with republicans and it didn't take me long to learn that they ALL were lying and they ALL were working together on the same agenda and I learned that the ONLY time they were really at odds was during campaign seasons and that the rest of the time they were PLOTTING against the American ppl.---not acceptable--I became an Independant 20 years ago,when no one knew who the Independants were and after the repubs passed and FAILED to follow through on the Contract With America, headed up by Newt Gingrich:: I have watched as our politicians have herded the American ppl. like sheep into a deep and dark hole where no one will have a future like the past we have had in America.
   
   I did a paper in my senior year of high school about the Illuminara,which lead me to the Skull and Bonesmen, the Freemasons,our Constitution,Founding Fathers and the Bilderburg group. Back then,I had to go to the library to get this info and everywhere I went I came away believing that this organization was dead and over. And then, I met a guy in college whose brother was becoming a Skull and Bonesman at Yale and I was stunned; and so for the past four decades I have studied this and have WITNESSED this agenda all playing out, alive and well, while working with politicians from both parties. Today young black people know more about this agenda because of people like Jay-Z who rap about the agenda and I have heard all of our politicians for decades talking about the "thinning of the herd" and "depopulation, due to overpopulation worldwide and I saw and heard their diabolical plans to depopulate America for the purpose of making this nation the wonderland where all the world's elite and aristocracy would live into the future. Today this information is indexed on the internet as Agenda 21 which is our governments term for their modern day agenda to kill us all off, but not before they break us, financially, emotionally,physically, and spiritually and it is their JOINT agenda to pit us against each other on every front, politically, spiritually, and racially.
   
   I almost passed out the day I heard Hillary Clinton use the term "African- American---I KNEW it was a ploy to stir up racism in my country and she certainly has done exactly that---she and Bill are both "bonesmen" and I am writing this to share it with anyone and everyone who will listen, because we are out of time to save our nation and what I have learned in my travels is that we are a passionate people, far more passionate about our country than any other nation in modern history, but we are an ostrich nation that has proven time and again we can't handle the truth---a PERFECT example of that is that for two decades the dems have told their faithful NOT to watch Fox news, and not to listen to anyone who is not a dem and bazillions of Americans have refused to listen to what the OTHER side had to say because they were told to; once they FINALLY got a platform after decades of not having one and I am still amazed that we live in a nation where we actually CAN get the truth and yet we don't seek it out????? I do not get it---other than to say it is sheeplike and non-sensical.
   
   So,if you WANT to know the truth,there are millions of websites about Agenda 21 on the internet today and there are a dozen episodes of Jesse Ventura uncovering the agenda involving the Fema concentration camps that have already been set up nationwide to house us and the "lab" on Plum Island where our politicians have waged biological warfare on America and about the "selling off" of all our water to aristocrats who into the future will not have water for you and where you can learn about the FACT that the Pentagon was BOMBED with a missile on Sept. 11th and that no plane flew into it ever and about how the female wives of the Sept.11th horror story know this and much more and these women are fighting this battle alone, without the support of the American ppl.in an effort to learn what really happened that day and you can learn that the Gulf Oil spill was no accident and that the clean up was planned BEFORE the spill even happened and you can learn about how the annual Bilderburg meeting which was held in West Virginia the day before Hillary pulled out of the presidential race and about WHEN our politicians DECIDED who our next president would be.This meeting takes place annually with absolutely no press involvement aside from two guys who manage to sneak pictures every single year filming the participants entering the most top SECRET meeting on earth where the Agenda is for one world order and a massive take over of the free world. The guys who film them, put them on the internet every year and if the only thing you do is watch past episodes of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse V; you will KNOW as I know that this stuff is no theory but is a plan and a conspiracy to destroy America as we know it----so that's my 22 cents and I encourage all who would read this to go now and to learn who these people are and why they want you and me dead. I call my agenda, Agenda 22 the plan to take out the one worlders and destroy their future agenda. PEACE

      If you think Fox is the truth, we have a problem. Wasn't it on Fox where Ann Coulter said the Jersey Girls loved the notoriety they got from their husbands death?
      
      That is as low as you can get. Watch the video OutFoxed....that is the truth.
      
      As for the rest of it...yes, this generation is very knowledgable and question things.
      But they can be misled the same as all of us. There is a plethora of info/dis-info, and who really knows what's what??
      Listen to your heart and intuition, that's my advice.

         Ann Coulter LIVES with her foot in her mouth but is far more reliable than Rachael Maddow on MSNBC-----Rachael reads a script faxed in from the White House daily and Coulter works to get to the truth regarding politics and probably SHOULD be scripted and filtered more, but I give her big props for putting in the time it takes to find the truth in a sea of lies----I spend hours every day in search of and finding the truth while sifting through all the lies we are fed from the press room of the White House----that is where all our news begins every day and I know they are lying to us for the past 4 decades that I have been listening to them---it takes alot of work to get to the truth from the lies all our politicians feed us to forward their agenda and I do that work daily==peace

                  Maybe one she writes for herself or that her show's writers write for her.
                  Certainly not off the wire.
                  There's a big difference between a "newscast" and news commentary.

                  But it's not to make hateful, intentionally outrageous statements like some of her counterparts. Coulter is the original "c" word.

                     OMG I could have sworn the full moon had ended---Never,ever have I defended Ann Coulter's behavior,not on this forum or anywhere else---and I agree when ppl call her the "c" word because it fits her and I happen to know this is not a front, but who and what she is and this is the exact image she seeks to portray for herself and in doing so, she makes all women with any dignity want to silence her and she makes alot of enemies wherever she goes and she likes that. I said I believed that someone should "filter" her and/or script her! I said I appreciate that she actually goes after her stories, goes in search of the truth in politics and again as someone who has hung out with politicians for decades I know that most of them are lying every time they open their mouths----I have written their speeches that were delivered to me by aids and interns with talking points and agendas and flavor and mood instructions with pages and pages of BS that I was to put into a 30 minute cheerleading rah,rah speech and nothing in it would be the truth!! People who are boots on the ground troweling through the lies who are in search of the truth,are my modern day heroes and I don't care how they deliver the truth as long as they deliver the truth---
                     
                     Yes, they all get accused of lying and they all get caught stating mistruths, Sarah Palin is famous for it and because we all get a ton of lies on the internet to sift through every day,I was saying that Ann Coulter like everyone in politics gets caught misrepresenting the facts,but she gets paid to deliver the truth and 95% of the time she is getting it right--
                     
                     It is impossible today not to "grab" a lie off the wire or the internet and run worldwide with it, unless you are being paid to be a fact checker as I have been for along time now: For instance, tonite, I was working on the internet and listening to The Voice on TV when I glanced up and saw on a crawl--- "Special Report": "Whitney"--- and before her last name appeared I knew it was her and knew she was dead,yet,I was stunned like millions of ppl all over the world who are now writing about it online---I decided to call a couple of young girls who I counsel online; one of whom lives in LA and tell them about this and 30 minutes after her death was announced the radio stations in LA were saying all kinds of "lies" from rumors from ppl. who live in LA or were working in the hotel where she died---they were saying and texting and tweeting that she "slit" her wrists, that there was blood everywhere and that RayJ and her own daughter had found her in spite of the FACT that the police gave a statement within 15 minutes of her publicist announcing her death stating that her cause of death was unknown, that there were "no signs" of foul play involving her death and that the EMT's who were staying at the hotel who had been hired to be there for the grammy's and in case something like this happened were in her room seconds after being told she was in trouble---the police further reported that EMTs were in her room doing CPR for twenty minutes (not the usual treatment for slit wrists)and they stated that they did a complete search of her room and no drugs were found in her room and that her bodyguard, not RayJ, had found her and I had already read that report when the texts came in that she had slit her wrists---within an hour internet reports stated "that she is broke and calling friends for a hundred dollars and that her Jersey home is in foreclosure and that she was at the grammy's to borrow millions of dollars from Clive Davis---and within minutes of that story breaking her publicist again announced that none of that was true, that Whitney was far from broke and up on her house payments and more---I always research and wait for the dust to settle before turning over the truth to my employers----
                     
                     When we get news in this world today,99.9% of the ppl. just run with it forever sometimes--- because ppl really do not care if it is the truth and in fact we have tabloids worldwide who are still convincing ppl that men are born with cowheads and six arms because ppl will read and believe that stuff---in America, we have access to the facts and most ppl do not care ---ppl will be saying "forever" that RayJ found Whitney who slit her own wrists and THAT is my point. I am paid today to seek out the truth on everything from religion to politics to government to how Whitney died and I love what I do and am proud of what I do and always try to exploit ppl in the news who lie on behalf of one "party" agenda or the other and I praise anyone brave enough to go after the truth for a living---Ann does that and almost never gets accused of lying, maybe misquoting, but not lying---Maddow is a puppet for the far left wing socialist agenda--I was paid to follow and report on her during the years between her ivy league college days and now---she is and always has been a teleprompter reader and a huge opiner who spews hatred for a living and she is a person who is paid to spread lies and is paid to be "divisive" and she is good at it---she is like Bill O'Reilly is to the far right---and just like O'Reilly, another teleprompter reader of things he knows nothing about; she often lies to the American ppl.---and I cannot believe you told me MM that her information does not come off the wire---that is exactly where she gets her news of the day, by way of no less than a dozen spin doctors and writers who work for MSNBC: the same wire that "started" with the early morning white house press report that daily comes from a war room of white house spin doctors on the talking points given to them to spin by Obama's white house advisors who he has named CZARS---everything that any of us report about regarding the white house and federal issues starts daily with that report and/ or some other report or story leaked from the spin doctors that may start in Atlanta and spread all over the world and back again, but what we have access to is what they want us to have and more often than not it has been spun long before we get it---I have to read and do reporting on yahoo and this hate mongering and bashing one another and attacking ppl for no reason is what I have come to expect on yahoo,but usually the ppl on hubpages are more tolerant and caring than just to attack someone just for the purpose of attacking them and because of that---I will move on---I am too busy to argue with anyone over a big nothing and this is a big nothing,so----again, I say, Peace

   Maddow has a degree in public policy from Stamford, A Rhodes Scholarship & Doctorate in Philosophy from Oxford University. 
   
   Coulter was a lawyer and trained by the National Journalism Center to be a "conservative journalist."
