I am not a birther but I find this curious. This was a pamphlet brought forth by Breitbart from a publishing house handling Barack Obama and this was in his PR material in the pamphlet.

There are cracks in our Government's vetting process.
      and
Liberal activists who backed Obama are quick at cover-ups.
That's what can be drawn from it. LOL.

Did you see the NPR article - that has since been corrected?

I dunno...could this stuff be faked? I'll admit it's confusing, but I still believe the POTUS was born in Hawaii.

Apparently Miriam Goderich was responsible for fact checking and failed to do so with the Error Regarding President Obama being born in Kenya being published.

Ok....here's my theory and I will see what kind of uproar this starts.

Barack Obama begins a publishing career and what better way to ingratiate yourself with your future liberal audience than to claim to be born in Kenya, the land of your father?

He would not be the first to embellish and that pamphlet is genuine. I presume they printed the info he gave them. I don't really think he was born there but the lie was going to work in his favor. It still does.

That's a possibility. I read that many authors "embellish" their bios to make them appear more interesting. Another possibility is that people were confused because the POTUS and his father share the same name.

This issue shouldn't be subject to conjecture.  It should've been resolved via proven fact years ago, before Obama was ever even accepted as a valid nominees for any political office including Senator.   It's hugely disturbing and embarrassing that this issue has to be brought up in the first place, because it shows that some people in our Government aren't properly vetted.   I imagine that's why even some Conservatives don't want this brought up, because it's embarrassing.   But it needs to be done.   The problem is, how does anyone even find out the exact truth, after all the lying and manipulations that are hovering around it?   Seriously, I go for "better safe than sorry".  If there's any question about any Candidate, and they can't or won't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're eligible for public Office, they should be dismissed as a possibility.   Really.  It's not that hard to prove it if you're an actual American citizen.

Follow the article it's been corrected. It wasn't the President born in Kenya, it was her dad. Do the searches.

Well then it was just recently corrected since 1991 and Obama would have known of the error.

Why didn't he have it corrected? Because it lined his pockets and made him credible to his readers?

How much white-out can be overlooked?   It's kinda like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?   The world may never know!   I've seen and heard so much stuff on the internet that I don't believe half of it already.   There should be concrete proof somewhere.  Well, unaltered black-n-white proof anyway.   Unless of course it was all burned or whatever.  Gee, that's the problem, isn't it?    And the main testimony really is Obama's words and behavior anyway.  We know he's spoken against the Constitution, against the Bible, against America's sovreignty, etc.   That's enough to disqualify him; it was enough to disqualify him even before he was elected.    Any remaining evidence of the truth about his birth is simply a red herring, a distraction, to buy time so fools will elect him again.

See you have something. Who discovered anything at all in fact about Barack Obama. Oh we know how many frat parties George Bush went to but....and I have heard this elsewhere.....where are his old classmates? What do his grade school teachers say about him. On and on.You have heard nothing and if you try to find out you get hit with a big flyswatter.

        Tyranny anyone?

          Yep, I see it.
No I'm no buying into the Left's propoganda.  They exercise a lot of control over politics these days.  America shoulda never let it happen.  I think the McCarthy hearings were the beginning of such nonsense.  McCarthy got blacklisted while the Communist-advocates took over America's political arena.

No doubt there are holes in the political candidate vetting process.
    Watch the movie "Game Change."

    It will blow your mind.
"Didn't you ask her (Sarah Palin) any questions about her experience?"
"Uh, no. We thought you asked her!"
"No. We assumed you had asked her."

Brenda, lol...where do you get all this stuff? lol I'm no buying into the Rights propoganda. I can't imagine a true Christain judging and labeling another. Obviously not familiar with love thy neighbor as you yourself would be loved. And I guess, a Christian has the ability to be judge and jury of another? Is that in the bible? And to let your fellow man die if he can't afford healthcare? Because I guess the bible gives you the Right to decide? You don't have a clue!

Actually, the consensus on this particular movie is it's quite factual and actually pretty fair in its portrayal of Mrs. Palin.
Well, except of course for redstate.com and breitbart.com.

And people on the boards say that gay marriage is a non-issue...

I personally don't care if Obama was born on Mars... if Romney was born on Pluto...If George bush had frat parties with strippers and Donkeys or if Palin shot Russians off her back porch...

None of these things has anything to do with the issues I care about...

If they can find someone from Bumphuc Egypt that can do the job then please throw him on the ballot and I'll vote for him.

      I KNEW it, Melissa!
You are one of "them" that wants to bring Sharia law to America.
It's not bad enough we have a Kenyan Muslim president.
Now you want to cast your vote for an Epyptian.

A pox on you for being un-Amuriken!

One of them? Why, because Melissa just wants the US to get back to the way it was? So now because you disagree you make fun of her? I bet you call yourself a Christian to? lol And for anyone to agree with you, I feel sorry for them as well! Melissa, like a true Christian, isn't judging anyone, can you and your followers say the same?

Mighty Momposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Absolutely. Everyone knows Melissa Barrett is a classic one of "them."
She is definitely the type who wants America to get back to the way it was.
We should probably ask her which era she favors, but here's an educated guess.
I'm thinking pre 20th Century before women could vote.
Although she's a pretty traditional gal, so the 1950s would probably suit her just fine.
Either way -- and I'm taking a leap here speaking for her (chime in anytime MB) -- likely she has in mind for our new POTUS an Egyptian in the mold of the recently deposed H. Mubarek.

Oh no. Now I'm thinking of Steve Martin's song "King Tut."
          lol

            Wow...

Actually I want to go further back in time than the history of America will allow..  I'm thinking whalebone corsets.  Screw not voting... I want to be chattel...  Life is so much easier when you are owned.

Think about it... no pesky decisions on budget or living situation... no worrying about how you are going to pay for your next meal...

Just a man that shows up and has sex with you and then goes off to leave you to clean the house and take care of the kids...  And I could just be pregnant forever and spend my life cooking and cleaning and.... crap I started the post with sarcasm... now I'm just sad.

A guy writing a pamphlet made a mistake.  Seems more likely than the State of Hawaii and his Mother being in collusion.

Not nearly as liberating as when they take the damn thing off so that you can give birth...  The husband almost forgot last time... damn uncomfortable it was...
