   Cougar Hunter - Older woman, younger man relationship?
   
   What is your opinion on a woman dating a man 14 years younger than herself? Leading information to consider - He approaches her and she feels weird about the situation although many men even younger have attempted the same pairing with her. This one appears well traveled, mature and divorced from a woman older than his current interest.

   Cougar hunter?  Give me a break.  If the situation was turned around, and you were talking about an older man and a younger woman, you'd think nothing of it, would you?  If a woman is so concerned about a man's age and has to go as far as ask people on an online site about what they think,, then I suggest that she doesn't date him.  My husband is 11 years younger than me, and we've been together for 12 years.

   Arlene, I appreciate your candidness, however there are many risks involved with dating someone who is called a "COUGAR HUNTER"!!! Wouldn't you think? I never gave him the title, it came with him - coined by friends and family, though he doesn't proudly own the title.
   
   I have two children to consider.
   
   Terribly sorry, if I offended you. I felt it a fair question since I have NEVER seriously considered someone younger before and have not dated anyone more than 5 years older than myself.

   People are free to date whoever they want. I say get the facts before you enter a relationship like that! If there's drama behind other relationships she's had in the past(such as infidelity) then run away as fast as you can!  People say age is just a number,it doesn't matter when it comes to love! (except when it's against the law)

   The age difference doesn't matter, but if she is feeling "Weird" about it like you said then that certainly matters! It's up to each individual to decide what's right for them when it comes to relationships.  Personally, I wouldn't want to date someone if I was old enough to be their mother, or if they were old enough to be my father... Something just feels really eeky about that to me.

   Im a 19 year old guy, and i am attracted to older females as well. They often look more elogent, and developed. There are definetly attractive females in my age group, but for some reason I am strongly attracted to older females. If you are both happy go for it, and make sure he is a suitable partner.

   i don't think age is relevant if the couple are happy in their relationship and can communicate. Does'nt make a difference if the roles are reversed, and I hate the term "cougar". Sound like she's going to devour him!

    Consenting adults so no problem.  My sister and I are both cougars, only by 6 -7 years.  I dated a guy almost 14 years my junior the problem arises when they want to have kids.  I broke off the relationship, because it was unfair to us both.  No way was I going down that path again and wasn't fair to let him miss out on the joys of fatherhood.  It can be a two edged sword.

    i dont see the problem. if an older man dates a younger woman.. he's THE MAN.. but if an older woman dates a younger man she's a cougar?... it's just stupid. SExually.. men are at the prime of their age in their 20s. .. women in their 40s.. so I actually think it makes perfect sense for a 40 year-old-woman to be dating a 20-year-old. and frankly.. as long as they are both consensual adults.. WHO CARES? I sure don't! xD.
    
    I'm 24.. and younger men really do not appeal to me.. but who knows what will happen when i'm 40? xD
    
    I believe you posed the question with a nice intention... and please do not mistake my words for insults. Not at all. It's only my opinion that the age difference is a detail that really doesn't influence love between two people!

    If it works, it works. There are no age limits on love. As long as neither party holds it against the other or takes issue with it, why should it get in the way of a successful, loving relationship?
