Why some people are very short tempered? How to deal with such people?

I have came across many people in life who are very short tempered. They just cant control there anger and burst out on anybody in a jiffy. I am not able to figure out that why it is so? How should we deal with such people?

Make them laugh, I am a goofball, so when I spot the hulk coming out of people I do something funny to make them laugh. Laughter can cure all our ailments and completely change a person's life.

Some individuals have a difficult personality. Think of them as people who are always angry. The best way to deal with them is being nice, polite, and not getting in their way.

People that act out because they are angry don't lose control.  They are attempting to take control.  That is why they yell, push or hit.  They are trying to get their way.  When possible make them calm down and talk normally instead of giving in.  If they get what they want while having a temper tantrum they will do it again.  During the outburst try to stay calm and relaxed.

You could suggest they switch to deep slow belly breathing and explain to them that stress and anger are bad for their health.  You could also tell them that they are in control of their thoughts.  If something is making them angry they can choose to think about something else.  However I would wait until they are in a more receptive mood.

I think that this is just part of their personality, which you accept or not. You can ignore such outbursts, particularly if they are quite child-like.

The opposite is those who bottle things in indefinately and thene blow up. That can be just as irritating and hard to deal with than the other.

I personally try to deal with situations as they come and discreetly tell them that I don't appreciate their shortness.

I think being short-tempered may just be a part of their DNA - however at some point in their lives people have tolerated it so sometimes short-tempered people do not learn to control it.

I will not deal with a short-tempered person if their anger is directed at me - they can direct it at my backside while I am leaving.

I would suggest they go to anger management classes. Otherwise they can stay away.

My best advice would be to try to have as few af these people in your life as possible. There are some cases in which there is a medical reason for their short fuse, but for the most part it is a learned response to deal with life. I had a bad temper when I was younger. All you have to do is come unglued a few times and every one starts going out of their way to make sure nothing happens to set you off.

It is awful that we reward the bad behavior by being nicer to short tempered people than we are to everyone else. Maybe a better solution would be to ignore the behavior or just walk away. They are acting like that because they like it and have no regard for how it affects anyone else. You seem like the type of person who likes to make everyone happy so I will wish you good luck and keep my fingers crossed hoping you do not become their regular victim.

Anger is a kind of frustration that makes a man or woman temporary mad. To avoid them  or avoid any confrontation with them, it is always better not to respond them. Making any conversation in defense would make them more agitated and it will not be good in such a situation. The people of this kind normally reach the state of losing temper easily due to  repeated failue in life and not making the things in their favor or owing to some serious set backs. They feel isolated and disappointed as such. Other reasons  may be health issues like high blood pressure.etc.

Ya that's true. But there are people who settle down very easily after getting angry , may be in just few minutes as if nothing has happened...
