it's not necessary, but it sure would make them feel great. a simple "i love you" will make their day.

I am not an outwardly expressive person by nature.  I have had to learn by force to be outwardly expressive, but that is not my nature, nor was I raised this way.  But to my loved ones and I, this is not a big deal, because we express our love in other ways.  To us, Action is a Verb!  I can tell you all day that I love you, but if actions were not attached to that I Love You, that I Love You is quite insigificant, in my eyes.

So I say that to say, expressing my love to my loved ones is good, but not always necessary, unless for some reason, assurance of this love is in order.  We have all had times where we did not feel so loved, and we needed that I LOVE YOU, said from a sincere heart, but in a general sense, no, I am not verbal like that.  Perhaps I should be?  I don't know.

My parents were not expressive people.  I can't remember either of them saying "I love you" to me or any of my siblings.. but I'm sure my father and my mother loved us.  Now with my kids, I tell them I love them every chance I got.  It's not necessary, I know they already know I love them.. but it makes me feel good to express my love for them.  After all, I'm their mama and their only parent left.. my husband and their father had passed away.

It is nice to be loved and to have those three little words whispered in your ear at the apropriate moment...BUT..I have learnt over time that it is not a nessesary thing, some people...men and women find it hard to express their feelings in words so although they may feel  love they are unable to say so...some on the other hand  may not have ever known love,I feel for those people, love truly is a many splendoured thing !!

Presenting bunch of red roses, sweet chocolates and little bit pampering are the  better options.

I may not be that expressive but I'd love to hear sweet nothings. And for me, even though action speaks louder than words still it would be  a lot better if we can do both.

from my opinion its really important to tell your loved ones that how much you love them....because they have to understand your feelings, they should know you better and it would make you and them feel really great
just three little words ' I LOVE YOU'
