How many marriages are too many?
Statistics show that more second marriages break up than first ones and more third marriages /about 75 per cents/ break up than second ones. The vast majority of people do not wed more than 3 times but for some being married 9 time unsuccessfuly is a norm...In no other area of life can grown ups go so wrong so often and still get official permission to go ahead...because there are plenty people to marry...What if it would be said after the third trial: " This is your last chance. You have to make it work with the one you end up with." ?
in my view marry as much as many time until you get a person you want live with him for life. Some time for marraigeto work you have to do some adjustment.
more adjustmwnt you have, marriage can last longer
I've been married for 14 years and she is still my first wife, I have seen several marriages crumble. And I can't believe the divorce rate in the country today. I like your idea of a 3 strikes and your out program, However I feel that marriage today has lost in meaning. Today it's just a legal document to a partnership. Kinda of like a business partnership. People have this built in disclaimer that if it doesn't workout we can just get a divorce. It's to bad.
I feel that there is a Biblical way to marry. If you follow this path your marriage will more than likely work out. If you divorce simply because you don;t like someone or you are just tired of being together, then this is not a reason for divorce. I don't know that there is a magic number. If your spouse passes away then it is acceptable for you to remarry. If your spouse has cheated on you then it is acceptable for you to divorce and remarry if you choose.

I know that getting married young was probably the first sign that marriage was maybe a bad idea, but a marriage isn't going to work when only one person is putting forth an effort to make it work. I was 22 when I got married; I thought that I was happy until my husband quit his job. I understand...

Do you think the wide acceptance of marriage equality could lower the divorce rate? Before you answer, let me give you some background as to why I'd ask this question. For eleven years, I was married to a gay man. I thought my situation rare until I got a divorce and found out that many women have...

Should the “emotionally divorced” be counted among “married couples”?The “divorce rate” is around 50%. Presumably this count does NOT include couples that live in separate quarters of the house, “sexless marriages”, and couples who have lived apart for years without either party...
