Can love take place without lust? Or is it the other way.Is lust a must for love?
love without lust is just a concept. Platonic love is like utopia, that is found only in theory, or in books.
love can not take place with out lust, lust is a must for love.
lust is always there for the man and woman to each other for I lust for just about every woman I meet or see and other than brotherly love, no hard love, but for the family, needless to say there no lust there just blood and or love and to a friend who is just like a family member
I believe love is very possible without lust. Many marriages end because the chemistry that got the marriage started is dying out. Yet, if a marriage has a LOT more going on -- a true friendship, companionship, and love, it will outlast any lust that has died out. So, yes, love definitely exists without lust.
I think the views of most of you are somewhat similar.Great going.

As a Christian married man is it a sin to lust in my heart for my wife?On occasion I um pleasure myself thinking about her. I was wondering though. Am I committing a sin for lusting after her? It doesn't feel like it's wrong but I was wondering what my brothers and sisters in Christ might say.
