    Winepress,

Men are important to the extent that they bring joy to your life.

    And so are women.

Just as women are important in life, it is like Horse and carriage,
one cannot function without each other, to continued in the world
we need those sperms, scientist  haven't gotten a break through on how to make sperms as yet, at least to my knowledge .. so it is important  for them to exist. so we will continued to let them know that there are scintillating and much better species here on earth.

Why are women so important in life? smile Well, as a young man myself, I'll say men are so important due to their various roles they play. Roles that including being the head of the family whiles the woman/wife is the heart of the family. Also men are critical decision makers both within and outside the family. They are quite energetic and so tend to do the difficult jobs to make ends meet to the family at large.

Without men women cannot reproduce our species and without women men cannot reproduce our spwcies ...so it stands to reason that neither can do without the other  so both men and women are important for the increase of mankind !!

In truth the significance of a man to the world is miniscule. The world has seen billions upon billions of people. Most people unfortunately do nothing in thier life that bears lasting, or cannot be undone by the earth.
The significance of a certain man to a certain woman... well that's just a piece of magic that just can't be explained... =]

Men are just as important as women, there is no division of importance.  Besides the basic biological reasons for men, women, and reproduction, they enrich each others' lives and thoughts.  And yes, there are lots of men and women that don't enrich each others' lives, sad, but the way it goes sometimes, life isn't perfect.  Men and women use different thought processes to approach and solve practical problems, and problems of life, this balances and makes humanity whole.

I have asked my wife about that. She seem to think it is because of who I am. The answer is not very clear.

I believe my mother would answer the same.

I feel women are the live-givers. As mothers, wives, lovers and sisters, they are very important to men.
It is interesting to note that most terrorists, brutal dictators(like Hitler), do not have a healthy relationship with any woman.

Because we are a set. Man+woman= keeping the world going, propagating.  It was a plan and seems to work quite well.

It is the way it is supposed to be , A male & female together so both have their roles in life ! There are many reasons why men are important apart from needing 2 to make a baby !
Be a sad horrible world without men !
Even when you have stopped having kids its fun practising .

Other than the basic biological need for reproduction, men are important because men can comfort women in a certain way that no other female friend could. We may have our (many) stupid moments, but not all men are made from the same mold.

Men are important because they are few and far between. They are the spotted owls of our species. Let us not confuse real MEN, with boys, males, and any other with the appropriate anatomical trait.
A true man has more than reproduction capabilities, but takes the responsibility to maintain that which he has created. And that goes beyond human populating; whatever he has created, through his ideas, actions, feelings, or loins. (And of course the same goes for women).
