Do you think the courts should stop issuing marriage licence?.

The divorce rate is high, do you think the courts should stop issuing marriage, licence and make couples wait a while before jumping into marriage, because it seem marriage is not being taken seriously. what do you all think? and not only that, whenever a couple want to go their separate, it would be less costly..

Marriage is still viable and people still want to remarry even after they get divorced. Divorce is high yes, 52 percent here in the US, I think, but people end up marrying again. Marriage is for legal purposes and is not a basis of lasting relationship. I don't think marriage will become obsolete unless private property ownership is abolish which is more unlikely.

I definitely think that the courts should stop issuing marriage licence, so, many people in divorce court it's a crying shame, and who is pocketing ... from all the divorce cases the lawyers.

For all practicality, absolutely.Considering the percentage of  divorces these days , marriage legally is becoming an endangered specie if not, an extinct entity that should be better placed in the SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTE and be buried in the law books never to be seen again LOL!!!!
