What are the values that are important in a friend?
which are the most important ones for you in a friend and why.
Trustworthiness is probably going to be the main answer given for this one. If I confide in a friend there has to be a trust established for me to know she won't leak what I told her.
Love your answer NiaG we share something here...I am a Nia too!!!LOL
Honesty,Truth
I understand trustworthiness, but if they'll lie for you,to prove trustworthiness.
Makes one wonder whatelse they would lie about.
True friend=Truth
Loyalty and honesty. I've been betrayed by many and left stranded by some but my best friends have always been beside me.
i believe every people we meet in this world,, in this lifetime is with a reason and purpose..just like friends..for me the most important values or quality of a friend or anyone who become a part of your life is.." they should bring out the best in you" and not the worst part of you..and if you are in your worst state..they will help you to be in your best state..for you to be a better person..so, friend should inspire and motivate you..and they should be trustworthy too!!!..means a "SECRET KEEPER NOT A SECRET TELLER OR SELLER"..so don;t you have a friend who is a bank teller ..hahaha..joke3x corny
Mutual Understanding, everlasting loyalty, care and faithfulness are the important ones in a friend. Such friends who possess these mentioned values are often termed as best friends who will always stand by your side. I am blessed with a best friend who possessed all these values and to whom i can confide in any matter and who is always with me both in happy and harsh times!
A true friends needs to be able to communicate well, be trustworthy, and to have your back in any situation that is necessary. In turn, you need to project this same amount of compassion and friendship onto them in order for it to work appropriately.
Integrity, compassion, wit, intelligence, and genuineness. Those are all qualities I seek in friendships...particularly those that I would consider best friend quality.
I think that people that come into your world are meant to add something to you, perhaps take something for their own. So I believe a true friend (and by my parameters there are very little true friends) is someone that turns you into a better person, that helps you get there, and that no matter how far apart you are, will turn up if you need him. It's not just about honesty and loyalty, though that is very important, but it is also about acceptance, acceptance in both ways, because we all have our good side, we all have our oddities, we all have a sort of a darker, greyer side, but very few people are capable of embrancing it all, so if we find someone that does, well, that's a keeper. And I keep mine very close to my heart for I love them dearly.
loyalty and they should have good hygiene, i got a thing about funkyness
My friend has to be someone that I can trust wholeheartedly ;that I can discuss things with, and I know that they wouldn't be repeated to someone else.
They definitely need to have a sense of humour, and fun to be with!
Also, someone that is honest.
Someone that I can relate to and vise versa.
You need good friends who would guide you and not mislead you. They should be beside you in times of need and you should stay away from people who seem like good friends but are pretending friends. read more
A friend is somebody you can turn to, who will patiently listen and be a source of strength when needed. Somebody who allow you to be yourself and yet provide input, and interest to your life. Someone who is honest, sharing and straight forward with whom you share mutual trust.
