Love does not differentiate between "good" and "bad". God loves all it's creations, and so should we.
I agree with muley84. It rains the same over good and bad and all are nourished. That is how God loves. When a person loves truly, as opposed to selfishly, a choice IS made, but not necessarily on what is convenient for the one who loves or whether the receiver is good or bad. The choice is not only emotional, but rational and never one more than the other. True love, which echos God's love, will suffer when something good goes bad, but it will never anger against the ungrateful receiver. Instead, it will continue loving in peace from afar.
