Do you have a good relationship with the spouse that your children picked out?
I wouldn't let anyone to pick my spouse. I tell the kids what to do. However the woman that I will pick out, must love and get along with my children, otherwise I am not interested.
It is my opinion that a person that is considering marriage (if they have children or not) should wait for GOD to give you the spouse HE has chosen for you. I do believe that the mate-to-be should have a loving relationship with the children if this is a second marriage.
Having a good relationship all together makes a happy family and love is present. The spouse and children should be in accordance with the word of GOD.
Husband is head of household,
Wife is to give honor to husband.
Children are to obey their patrents.

Do you get angry if your boyfriend/spouse looks at other women?Assuming he doesn't do it in front of you, is looking harmless? Would you want him to be honest about it if he does or keep it to himself?
