Do you believe that the concept of open marriage will become more prevalent in American
society within the next 50-100 years? Why? Why not? Do you further believe that the concept of monogamous marriage as we presently know it will become extinct?
No, because it defeats the purpose of marriage - a union of two people, ideally for life, hopefully for the creating and raising of children.
You can have a devoted and monogamous spouse or a swinging sex life - but not both in a society where the other person can leave when they don't like the sexual infidelity.
