What is your experience with marriage preparation classes?
This is a research question: I'm writing a novel based in the '60s. In the story line, the priest almost doesn't marry the couple because they didn't take the Cana Conference classes. I need to know your experience with such classes. Have you used the advice from the classes in your marriage? I am MOST interested if there is anyone out there who changed their mind about their partner BECAUSE of the classes. Were you happy that you did change your mind? Is there anyone who had a counselor or priest advise against marrying your partner? Did you follow the advice? What was the outcome?
