   Those that are in Christ (fully) has forsaken their "own timing." Because the steps of a rightious person is ordered by the Lord, God's timing is always relevant.

   Well no one can really know God's timing but we can know when it is at the door and I would say it is, whether it be five years or a few months all who study the word know it is close and I would think focus on the signs of the time. We should all be ready, certainly as if it could be any minute, which it could and look forward to escaping all the horrors coming.

   This is something I have been dealing with because nothing is happening in my time frame and I am getting impatient with God's timing, but I have to laugh because God ultimately knows better. (I like what Carcro says, "his timing is God's")

   I focus on my own timing and I think that is what gets me into trouble sometimes.  Someone once told me that If I want to make God laugh I should tell Him about my plans

   My own timing, because I don't believe in God's timing. I think if anyone is seduced into believing their actions are from another source, other than their brain, is under disillusion from a faith they obviously, patriotically support. Which as a good old Atheist, I find mad.

   As an agnostic, and one who wrestles with "why" and "faith" questions literally every day, I cannot focus on God's timing, because if God, as I understand him to be defined, has such a timing or "plan" for each of us, we being human "aren't allowed to eat that apple" and know His plan.
   
   As for my own timing and focus - straight up and uninteresting answer.  My executive functioning and organizational difficulties are such that I either cannot, or am not willing to spend normalX10 energy/time to manage such long perspective.
   
   I literally don't have the time to manage my time.  Ugh - somebody channel my (late)  neurosurgeon Dr. Shillito for me and ask him to beam down and tell his successors Heaven's answers!

   you focus on your own timing, but abide by that of God... it is like a sign... it is either obvious or its irrelavant, if you were to focus on searching for 'signs' you would only see the craftings of the devil, ... ... ... don't trust that i know what i'm talking about but watch how you word things... as my fav christian singer says 'models ain't models really if their not modeling" ... i wrote her a tribute hub... please vote up, it's christian if you READ the words and the SPACES in between, because the daunting hauntings are blinding... pless the sheep that knows how to dress like snoop dog, whod wanna mess with that?

    I focus on my own timing with letting God know all my plans and he can put it into perspective for me whether that works or not.  I believe God's Timing is nowhere near our timing.  One day may equal one year or three days - we don't have a clue as to how time is determined in Heaven or less than that for each person.

    I focus on my own timing. Although I trust on God very much. But I know it is also the advise of God "Do works by your own initiative." because tomorrow never comes. If we will start any good work, it is just because of the blessings of God. He in fact inspires us to do works.

    What a great question! I see it as a dialog. I seek to listen first, and hear and experience God's timing and direction. I will also sit down and let the Divine know very cleary the timing I hope for. (I used to yell - it's all a matter of style - God loves to hear from his/her kids, no matter how we talk.) In the end, I find that I always surrender to God's timing. This often brings delight and wonder. And, sometimes, God turns to his children and says, THY will be done, and we receive our dreams

    i would sure hope everyone focuses on their own timing since it's not like this god talks to people. if you don't focus on your timing, you have issues i'm sorry to say.

    I was brought up in an environment where people always believed that they were hearing from God either by an interpretation of a scripture *conservative believers or by direct revelation *spirit types. These were totally suffocating environments void of  true reasoning where one group says that God is speaking to them directly and the other saying that they have an infallible understanding of scripture and the worst saying/implying that they possess both. Both groups are just as bad as the other because they have lost their reasoning powers and they leave no room for doubt or reasoning. People should be allowed to doubt until they have enough reason to believe something.
    
    People are forced to believe in a God that they don't really believe in and they just go through the motions pretending something is happening with God and them.
    There is something else too- These groups like to secretly and sometimes openly condemn people in the name of God or in the name of the bible e.g. saying that non conformists will go to hell. How can these groups claim to love people when they are preaching "Love always hopes" and "Love conquers ALL?"
    
    Right now I am not concerned about any timing for anything. I want to be able to live in the "now" and live my life one day at a time.  I do not want to live in fear or of tomorrow for today has enough trouble of its own and I cannot make myself 1 inch taller by worrying. Maybe I should let tomorrow worry about itself.

    I would say both, God usually gives me the nudge and then I act. The hard part is knowing whether or not if I'm getting in God's way. When I listen for God's cue things usually go right for me.

    I focus on God's timing because His timing is always the best timing. His ways our higher than our own, his knowledge greater than our own, so that would imply to me that whatever plan He has for me at whatever time He chooses to give it to me must be greater than anything I could conceive on my own.
