   Do you think every religion on Earth has something in common?
   
   If so, what do you believe that common ground to be be? (This is more of a general philosophical question and not about any particular religion.)

   Yes, they most certainly do. In the nature of the question, each religion is searching metaphysically. Religion used as the medium between us and beyond us. The religion would not exist without purpose!

   I believe that would be faith, whether it be it faith in God, Jesus, Allah or whoever they worship. Faith would be the common ground of any religion, but I truly believe that when it's all said and done there is only one God and each religion is  worshiping the same God just known by different names.

   In my naive way I'd like to think the common theme would be 'compassion'! But if HubPages is an indication of religious views then there isn't much of it going around.

   Yes. They most certainly have moral lifestyle in common, a higher purpose,  spirituality, supreme beings or a supreme state of being...all of them have a doctrine, or book that encapsulate all of these...The biggest commonality??? They all believe that they possess the correct dogma to follow.

   Yes, I think most religions have something in common which is: do what God told you to do and avoid what God told you not to do. Most religions also demand the good and prohibit the evil.

   Yes. There is a belief system behind each religion. The people who "believe" in what each particular religion is/does creates a nature to trust and have faith in something they may not know everything about it.

   Yes, Every religion says there is some super natural power which has created this beautiful universe.There is something like God who is known with different names in different religions. Every religion teaches "Be a REAL HUMAN BEING". Don't discriminate between HUMANS.

   I believe that every religion has some common things. One which I would like to mention is: Never harm others. We all believe in a religion but we fail to respect the teaching of not harming others be it mentally. emotionally, physically or financially. That is the reason we all are suffering.

    I believe that people that follow a religion do all have one thing in common....they all want to believe that there is something bigger than themselves.  Hope that there is more.
