According to a Zen Master, the Samurai as a true warrior,  lives and dies with every breath.

Nothing. I will not buy another day.

Reflecting on how my life has been up to this point, it would be a welcome relief.

Seeing as you won't be able to do much if your money for just one more day, you might as well pay with everything you have. That's only if you are enjoying life that is. If you are going to be suffering in pain for that extra day, I'd sooner pay to die there and then

I would not ask for another day.  When the good Lord says it is my time, I will jump up and say I am at your beck and call, Lord.  Let's Go!  Time to meet my Maker!

IMO Death doesn't take cash, credit or gold. Death only acknowledges fixed goals that one can only do living.  Death requires an unbreakable commitment and will collect on the bargain in a certain prearranged amount of time.

This being said, I have endeavored in my life to avoid having anything that I would need to bargain for, yet if there were anything to bargain for it would be a day to help those I loved become comfortable and at peace with the certainty of my passing and the ability to share a last fair-well with them with the faculties to extend my love to each person willing to hear me that day.

Yes, I would call on God. I do not feel ready. I have prayed and meditated for 30 years and was before that living what I consider to be a decent life. Still, I am not ready. I have good days until I am pushed or feel that I am pushed and then I realise that I am not in the place i thought I was or wish to be.

"Dear Lord, Grant that I may be strong, intensify my faith in Thee, and may I live a much more purer life. Forgive me for my iniquities, and grant me the spirit of acceptance and a stronger heart. Help me to let go of this world, in order to hold on to your world, here and in the life to come. Amen."

I would think living an extra day knowing that was your last would be torture. I would not ask for more life. There's probably a good reason we cannot know the day or the hour.

More than I could ever fathom; I would give up everything for extra-time for just one more day in the place where God has placed me. Yet, how I would spend that day would be significantly different than what I have usually done with my days; I would do His will. It is a gift for us to be here, right in the now, and I believe God would want us to cherish it more than anything. When we are indeed called; then I would only move on with a fight realizing that I have failed and saying "God, please give me more time?"

No, I wouldn't want to add another day.

Death is natural and necessary. It's the price we pay for living.

In any case, I have no fear of my state of non-existence before life, why should I have any fear of not existing after life is over? Of course, there are all kinds of nasty ways to approach death that I would be happy to avoid or at least minimize - that's what health insurance is for! - but death itself has no sting.

I'd rather leave the money behind for my kids or some other good cause.
