   A free mason is a member of a religious sect dating back thousands of years. Like the Illuminati. They are secret society's.

      Freemasonry is not a secret society.  They are a society with secrets.  If Freemasonry was so secret you wouldn't be able to drive down the street and know which building was their blue lodge.

   Simply put, Freemasons are a fraternal order with a sister order called "Eastern Star". Although some say that Freemasonry is a secret society, I will contend that it more of a society that has many secrets...and none of them are truthful or good.
   
   Freemason lore goes back to the building of Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem circa 975 B.C., where their mentor and demi-god, Hiram Abiff, was said to have built Solomon's Temple and was murdered by other craftsmen, but would not surrender the secrets he discovered to them.
   
   Knight's Templar is part of Freemasonry's traditions and just about every war the United States has been involved in has been at the hands of a Freemason President.
   
   Part of the problem with Freemasonry is that they are secretive and they give their members privileges that other people within society do not receive. Many doctors, lawyers, judges, politicians, presidents, police, military, FBI, CIA, Mormons, etc, are Freemasons. It has been said that if one "brother" sees another commit a crime, that they are to remain silent, and turn the other way.
   
   Brigadier General of the Confederate Army, Albert Pike, 33rd degree Freemason and Inspector General, wrote "Morals and Dogma", which many consider to be the unofficial "bible" of Freemasonry. In this long book, Pike states that those who come into this order are lied to, want to be lied to, and deserve to be lied to.
   
   Those who joined Freemasonry and have been fortunate enough to leave with their heads still attached to their shoulders have said that they are deliberately lied to and fed one myth after another and one lame secret after another...that ultimately leads nowhere. I believe it was Pike himself, that said only those who attain the rank of 30, 31 and 32 degrees are allowed to know who they really serve.
   
   The truth is, this is a Luciferian order, who worship Satan, while hating Christ Jesus and Christianity. They say they don't worship Satan because they deny he exists, but in the same breath say that Lucifer is the way to enlightenment and Jesus is the evil one.
   
   By the way... the "G" in between the compass and square stands for the "Generative Principle", which is referring to the sex act between a man and woman. The compass and square represent the open legs of a woman and man before the act of copulation. This is a powerful, murderous group with a lot of money and influence, and they are to be avoided at all costs.

      You have to believe in a God to become a Freemason.  Freemasonry is made up of people from all walks of life, religions, social status, etc...  Maybe you should learn some true facts before commenting!

      Daskittle: Your comment is out of place and is basically worthless. Those who believe in Lucifer and worship him do believe in a god. Please understand, before shooting off your mouth, that space does not allow one to write a treatise on the subject.

      Honestly, I would be shocked if you knew more about this subject than I do. I may check out your hub, but from what I've seen from you thus far, I have serious doubts that I can learn anything meaningful from you. You seem very defensive to boot.

   The truth is you would have to walk the path that they have traveled to know what a freemason is or is not.  If anyone answers the question who is not a freemason, then they are speculating. 
   
   Simply put it takes one to know one. 
   
   Best wishes on your journey.  Oh, and for you information I have friends who are part of lodges and they do a lot of nice charitable work for their communities.

      Yes, and Satan and his minions can masquerade as angels of light. Even politicians go to church and pet babies on the heads as they walk by and it is commonly accepted that most politicians are hell bound. So, what's your point?

      My point is that if you do not know a person you would have to make several assumptions and speculate about their nature.  I do not accept that most politicians are hell bound.  I think you should join a lodge if you really want to know.
