There are a list of over 30 books written by disciples, followers, or disciples of disciples, and other historical documents written in the century following the crucifixion (a web search will reveal the names of the books and their writers). Then there is the evidence of those who have seen Jesus in vision throughout the centuries. Then there is the power and effect of what he set in motion over two millennia ago, which continues to this day, which is unparalleled in history. Then there is the more intangible effect in millions of peoples live.

Books have been written on all these points. This is just a sampling.

Actually, the effects of Christianity ARE paralleled in history---it's the religion of Islam.

I definitely believe that Jesus existed. That is an established historical fact. You would be hard pressed to find any scholars or historians that would argue that point.

The more important question is whether or not Jesus was who he claimed he was. For that we have dozens of historical documents to turn to. I recommend reading Isaiah and then reading Luke and John. Make sure you understand where these authors were in the grand scheme of things. Their time frame, and their whereabouts.

Then maybe read some of the writings by Josephus and Tacitus if you want some extra Biblical proof of his existence.

Or honestly just do an internet search. Type did Jesus exist into Google and you will find a wealth of information about the Historical Jesus.

The books of Isaiah, John, and Luke are not considered accurate historical documents by most serious historians. It's sketchy whether they were actually written by those people and obviously they had an extreme bias toward proving the Messiah.

Absolutely I believe he existed.  There is proof in historical documents that he existed but I am not really interested in that. I have my faith, whether others choose to believe or not is up to them.  I don't need proof.

I can't see the wind, but I know it is there, I can't see love but it is absolutely there.  Same thing for me with Jesus as the Son of God.  I can feel it, even if I can't see it.

"Same thing for me with Jesus.  I can feel it, even if I can't see it."  Would you define "feel"  as used in this quote?  I feel wind physically impacting my skin and observe it physically move my boat across the water.  Do you physically feel Jesus?

The real issue is does his existing mean anything? If he was here, what makes him special? How do we know he wasn't just another cult leader? So even if provided proof, it would mean nothing without knowing the man himself.

Jesus is real, He is coming back, and those who believe in Him are now commissioned with telling the world that He loves each and every person enough to die for them, but that He respects them enough that He will not force them to receive Him.

No offense here but you have zero proof to any of that except a man called Jesus once lived. The rest is written by man who has proven over time not to be reliable.

Yes indeed!  Personally, I know that he exists because the Holy Spirit indwells within me giving me knowledge of his existence.  Though I am not required to "prove" it, this knowledge is sufficient for those who enjoy a supernatural experience with him. For those on the outside who want proof, nothing will ever be sufficient. Prophesies have been fulfilled concerning his existence, but using the Bible to prove the Bible would not be accepted by doubters. Historical books that are not part of the Holy Word also attest to his existence and powers, but sadly, many will be lost eternally because they simply chose to follow false doctrines and their leaders.

Thank you!....I completely agree with you...Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and His Spirit lives inside of me....My heart would break for anyone who will spend eternity apart from God....that is the worst thing that can happen to anyone!

I know that Jesus Christ exists because He lives inside of me.....He died for me on the cross and saved me, He forgave all my sins and has sealed my soul until the day of redemption....my name is in the Lamb's Book of Life!...I will live with Him for all eternity .....I know this because Jesus said so, and that is all I need....if He said it...it is the Truth!!!.....and I am not required to prove it and neither are any other Christians.....because we know we are His....He lives inside of our hearts!....and of course history books prove Jesus' existence, but what really matters, is that we know that Jesus Christ is our God and Savior, the Creator of the universe, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end....He Was, He Is, and He shall always Be!...and I believe...I have faith in the Holy One....I have never needed proof because I know His Love!....if others choose not to believe, this is literally their loss, because they will spend an eternity without God...they will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven, and that is heart breaking!....

Maybe his story was simpler and more natural than what we have made of him in the last 2000 years. I like to find helpful articles and comments like these to inspire. Here's another place to look www.thetruejesus.org it helped me. Any thoughts?

thetrueruejesus.org is a scam. There are multiple sites run by the same guy, all selling products, and offering classes. Some have gone as far as to call it a cult.

Anything that you can conceive exists on some level. It is all from imagination or nature. To consciously accept it is another story. There are many realms and dimensions that we have little awareness of. So to say point blank that something does not exist because the senses cannot perceive it at the moment would not be wise.

I believe that Jesus did exist. The first proof is the Holy Bible. The second proof is history, where He was buried, his disciples, apostles and events that happened when he was crucified and resurrected. The third proof is my faith, I have faith that Jesus is the son of God and this does not require me to produce any evidence.

I'm sorry but history does not prove that Jesus resurrected. The Bible is the only source for that claim that I am aware of. Feel free to prove me wrong.

With faith, one does not need proof. Faith comes before the miracle, and the proof that follows is inconsequential.

Would you need proof that walking on water is possible before you do it? If you do, then you will never walk on water.

His teaching is all that matters -- his message. With faith, you too can do the things he did and even greater. And with faith, you know him. Proof is inconsequential.

I can feel His Energies when I pray and meditate...I have used His Techniques and Love to heal me. I can feel His presence.....and this is where I learned how to do
    all that ....thetruejesus.org
A truth sample from the website:
"The lack of words and wisdom from Jesus in the New Testament is simply because almost all of the vast amount of Jesus’ wisdom and teachings that were once written down, were hunted down and destroyed by the Roman Empire, the Islamic Empire and/or the Vatican."

I feel the true Jesus and now you can too.
