Do YOU wish that you could have spent more time with an aging parent or parents either before their mental and/or physical decline or their death?     To those who did not spend enough time with their aging parents, do you regret it now that they are no longer in the physical plane?

I regret not spending more time with my mom, because she desperately wanted it, but at the same time didn't. Sounds odd, but it is true. She was a tortured soul in many ways.

I don't regret my dad. He remarried and, in the later years of his life it worked out better for us to stay at a distance. His final months, we had time together and with all that he was going through he made time to ensure that I wasn't left with regrets. An amazing man.
