      So we'll have a Saturnalia truce.  Or a Newtonmas truce.  Hell, we can even just have a solstice truce.  Or a winter truce.  Or a Tuesday truce.  Here's an idea - we'll just have a truce just because fighting is a waste of energy and generally unproductive.
