   Just wondering, without revealing my own spin, I would like to know others opinions of these mostly hard case Forums.

      Nah, I'm usually an annoyer. I think it's quite strange that people get so worked up. I'm hoping some people like me look worked up but aren't? The only think that works me up is being accused of being worked up

         I am only interested in the Forums, not in Writing, my skills are not honed enough. But I do find chat rooms, excessively boring. I like these type of interchanges, sorry I ignore you lol

      They're not "mostly hard case forums", it just looks that way because one or two forums (mainly the religious ones) dominate the "latest posts".
      
      Ignore those and visit the Hub-related threads, like Knowledge Exchange and Hub Makeover, and you'll find Hubbers collaborating politely and happily together.

         You are right, I used to enjoy the Politicals, in the Chats, then they gor really rugged, so I looked in at the Religious ones when I came on here, Brother, what a shocker, people tearing each other apart. Like the Colloseum Days. The ones you mention are way more civilised. Even abit of humour thrown in, such as my latest post, where a Guy made a Crack, I think was directed at me being a Poser. Still smiling, thats Good.

   Nope.  Don't remember being annoyed.  Figure any time I don't like a topic, I can always go write a hub or (gasp!) turn off the computer.

   We debate here, we share views and we have disagreements. But we all know where to draw line and where to take things on ourselves. So i don't get annoyed and i hope others don't get annoyed with me as well.

   Not annoyed, but amazed at the number of posts in threads like
   "last post is the winner:Redux", or
   "Name something starting with A".
   
   I remember the original Last" post" thread that was stopped because it was slowing the whole system down.
   
   And the introduction of the sandbox, where threads like this could survive without bringing the rest of the forum down.
   
   Also amazed at the number of people been here only a few months with many thousands of posts.

      I don't find these actually annoying, but have seen them, and not participated. I do find them sort of childish. They don't interest me at all. Also there are so many like that.
      I didn't know about the Sandbox.

      Eric, it's because there's a whole army of new Hubbers who think HubPages is a social networking site, not a writing site.  They're the ones who join, get into fights in the forums, get banned, and think that just because they can't post in the forums there's no point in being here - so they delete all their Hubs too, and thereby lose out on any income they would have gained.  Strange people.

            Twuxedo, it's not exactly a No No.  Having a few well written hubs helps your credibility in the forums with the rest of us, though.  No rush or anything, but if (for example) someone's been here a year, produced ten thousand posts, and never written one hub...well, his (or her) opinion will be somewhat discounted by producing writers.

I have to be in the mood to get my writing skills going on lol but I will have one... and I also gotta figure out how that part of this site works to I mean I would be mad if I wrote for a long time then clicked the wrong button and it all vanished!!

         It's sad, but I've seen that a bit here and I haven't been on here for all that long.  There are forums specifically designed to be more like social networking sites where people are allowed to get into heated debates.. Here though, I see this more as a relaxing way to get to know other writers.
         
         Still, I see no point in getting annoyed over anything online - but that's just me.  Life's too short to waste on getting annoyed over trivial things.

   Good conversations brought down by trolls...only mildly annoying though, I shouldn't be wasting my time in the forums anyway . There have been some great discussions with excellent views on both sides that are quite entertaining and educational until someone tries to attack anyone and everyone in it...even if no one replies to the attacker, it does interrupt the flow of conversation a bit.

    I love it here, I try not to get involved in the heated debates, sometimes i will drop an opinion in here and there but Im not a 'dominant' figure. I love chatting here, my little escape from the outside world after work!

    Some of us like the forums and don't care to participate in Religious or Political ones, so the light, fluffy types are just fine. The afore-mentioned Forums get to be quite contentious. Not everyone comes to HubPages to make money; some do it for the comraderie, therefore they spend a lot of time in the Forums, racking up those posts. Childish? That's not very nice, but that is your opinion. What annoys me? Oh yeah: People who look down on other people in the Hub Pages.

    As far as the actual topic of this forum? How could one allow simple words on a screen annoy you? If you have a discussion going on about a particular topic and something strange pops up, just ignore it and carry on. It ain't nothin' but a thing and if it's provided any attention at all in any way, they have the attention they crave. Ain't no fire lasts without fuel.

    One thing does annoys me, but it only annoys me once in awhile, probably when I'm hormonal.  This is supposed to be a writing website, and it really bugs me to see so many hubs and forum posts riddled with errors.  I'm not talking about the occasional grammatical mistake or typo; we all do that.  I'm talking about hubs and posts riddled with poor grammar, punctuation and spelling.
    
    I never point it out, though.

          Hey DM, nope I didn't kill your husband (guess that might sound out of context) lol, sorry I couldn't reply, but computer finally died, it is now back but with half a screen, no sound, letters as big as my fingers, and internet speed about half as fast as I had in the mid 90's.
          
          I think all the internet porn has finally killed it.

    All hubbers are equal, but some are more equal than others.

             well, THANK YOU VERY MUCH..
             I just do not feel I need to put up a "sexy pic" of myself, so I just used an ordinary one of myself from the fall and cropped the body off...
             hmm, maybe I should follow many others and put up one of my more revealing or "sexy " pics..I will not, however, put a pic up of a different woman..

    I get annoyed when I state an opinion about any old thing at all and someone rushes in to argue with my opinion!  I mean, we ask each other questions and the idea (one would think) is to just get to know what all the other hubbers that are interested think about that topic - not to berate and belittle and take issue with everything others say if they don't happen to agree with the questioner.  But this happens alot in other places too, not just HP.  Why can't people just let each other have their opinions, listen to what they say and let them be? 
    
    So this is why I spend most of my time in the forums being silly! trading witticisms and seducing people into my fantasies and this crazy cyber-world!  (Like The HubTribe is Forming - an alternative to seriousness, usually)
