Thanks Sandra for posting this moderated Religion forum in the Who else is fed up? thread for those that are fed up with this barely moderated "religion" forum.  It looks like the other thread was locked, that's why I posted here.

Where the nav bar has these sections:

      Acceptance Of Jesus Christ
      Forum
      Original Sin
      Today
      Truth About Death
      Understanding The Bible

Doesn't seem to be very balanced to me but I'm sure it's a cosy place for the saved wink

Your welcome Mike.  I want to learn more.  However it seems to work out that learning about religions is open to banter then it is what it is.  It's not like I didn't know what I would be getting into. lol.

And besides, if looking for peace between all belief isn't something to put my effort towards on accounts of the Invisible superior being that doesn't exist to the none believers... well then while I am working towards peace in the name of God and others seem to somehow want to be against it...

It's okay with me, I am not ashamed. smile

The other thread was closed by admin.

But - I thought you had gone off to a religion forum that was moderated by religious people so that you could all agree with each other and congratulate yourselves for choosing the right invisible super being and decide what the super being was telling you to get made into laws so everyone else had to follow your "morals" lol  without having to put up with godless morons having an opinion that might be different?

I hope you read Maddie's post from when she locked the thread, Make Money.

The religion forum was opened up to be a public discussion place, not a pulpit.  Not a discussion of why any religion other than Christianity is wrong, not a place to bash other belief systems, but to discuss them.  ALL of them.

If you cannot moderate yourself first, then what use is there in having the forum moderated by others?

To those who argue so loudly against the "Our God is the Only God" type threads - please remember the spirit of community.  I would like to see, very much like to see, less argument over whose beliefs are truly right, and more healthy discussion without the anger/insults/swaggering.

    Love you all.

I believe the thread was closed because of the name calling that some other member decided that they had the right to do but didn't.
Gamergirl is correct too and ther are many of those kinds of people, like Makemoney on here that relish in making others feel guilty of what they call sin or what-have-you.  We don't live in the Roman times where anyone who disagreed with the Empire was put on a cross and then thrown into hell and burned alive.  That was 2000 years ago!

The place where they burned the bodies was really called hell in those days, it was a real place, not a spiritual place.

I guess if you follow that logic, there is no Heaven either. (I mean if only what is real here and now is real, there is nothing beyond the grave either way, good or bad). hmm

Now see you don't go by history or what Jesus supposedly said.  Where did he tell you the Kingdom of Heaven was, again?

          1. aka-dj profile image67
aka-djposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yes He did say that. But He also told the disciples that, "in His Father's house are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you."
            Where did He go? hmm

            1. Lady Guinevere profile image74
Lady Guinevereposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Well that is a much bigger subject then you think.  Our bodies are just shells.  When we die we do not cease to exist, we go on to our own room as in the many rooms of his mansion.  That's it in a nutshell.

              1. aka-dj profile image67

                hmm  You lost me.
I know we go on after death. I was merely following through with you point that hell was a real place, not a "spiritual" place. Thereby inferring the same of Heaven.
The rooms you speak of, are they heaven, or hell, or something in between? Are they here on earth, or where? hmm

Are you saying, then, that when I die, and my body is in the ground (grave) that my spirit will still be within my body?
I always thought that death was the exact opposite, IE, the spirit (or life force, or soul) leaves the body, therefore the body is dead. hmm

Yes. You have finally got it.

          I die
          you die
          he dies

          we die
          you die
          they die

not so hard to accept, is it?

Not in the same exact body you died the first time with.  See our bodies are our puppets for learning in this world.  Jesus wasn't accepted for the body that he was in by the very desciples when he came back.  They didn't recognize him as who he looked like.  He couldn't understand it and he told them that they can do it too and will do it.

Hey, I have to get off the computer.  We are having the insullation in the bedroom ceilings replaced and also a new water softener put in in the crawlspace.  I need to strip the bed becasue I am way sensitive to that stuff and what is in the old stuff falling down.  My pets won't have any place to hide and they will be going crazy--especially my cats who are skiddish of too much movement and other people.   Way too much excitement for me in one day!  I will be back later.  Everyone have a good day!  Send my pets some calming energy!

That subject line being, why do some consider "new agers" jerks?  Whats so "jerky" about them?
