I know that this video may be disturbing to some people. I just wonder what it is going to take to get America's attention. It is really sad that something bad has to happen to get people attention. There are tings happening in our world today that God is not pleased with yet, people want what they want and many have no place for God in their lives.

When this event took place the people that were in these buildings thought it was going to be just the normal day.

They would leave their home, some kissing or hugging a loved one bye, thinking they would return back at home in just a matter of hours.

The ones at home were expecting their loved one to put their days work in, and return home.

I remember the very day that this took place. I had just gotten one of my sons off to school. My husband and another one of my sons had left for work. I was in my bedroom cleaning but I had the television on in my living room and I could hear the news.

I have another son that was laying on the couch waiting for the time to come for him to go to work.

I remember hearing a lady say, a plane has crashed into one of the twin towers at the world trade center. Maybe this was an accident. Then all of a sudden I heard her say, Oh, my God, another plane has just hit the other building.

At this point I felt a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach as I walked into the living room to check out what was happening. I asked my son, did you see this. He was kind of dozing off and on and he replied, I thought it was a preview of a movie when it first happened. I myself thought the same thing when I first heard it.

Now all that I felt was fear. I wanted my son that was at school to come home, my husband and my other son to come home and I called my daughter to see if she had seen the news. She wasn't aware that anything was going on. I wanted my family home where I could see them and hug them.

Then my thoughts begin to shift as people were running and screaming. I am sure never in these people's minds, could they have possibly known that this day, would be their last. And the ones that lived through it. Will relieve this moment in time in there minds, over and over again. I pray for the ones that have lost friends, family, co-workers, for their hearts and hurts to heal and that they would not live the rest of their life in fear. That they would turn to God and trust Him to take care of them.

Out of fear people started packing the churches. Now they needed God. Some have stayed true to the Lord since this happened and some have gone back to their usual life style, whatever that maybe. But, time has passed and people think nothing like this can ever happen again. And God is somewhere down the line of what is important. Or is He?

I realized that day that at any given time that could have been my life or someone in my families life that could have been ended, never again to be given a second chance.

I have believed in the Lord Jesus for many years, but at this particular time, I had strayed away and given up. Now I am thankful that God has given me a new start and since then my relationship with Jesus has matured and I can't imagine not having the Lord as number one in my life. I know that when ever my time comes and my time on this earth is over, I will spend my eternity with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have received the gift of salvation.

I pray for those that do not know the Lord and think nothing like this could possibly ever happen to them and they may be right. But at some time or another every one dies.

When that happens to you, do you know where you will spend your eternity?

Those people that were killed will never have another chance.
    You do.

For God so loved the world that HE gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
    (John 3:16)

    Romans 10:9-12
(9)...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For with the heart man believes, resulting in salvation. (11) For the Scripture says whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed. (12) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him.(13)for who ever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

You may not have tomorrow and once life is over, there is no turning back.

I am getting well fed up with all this "you will be saves if you believe what I do." It is insulting to anyone who does not think as you do, and is the reason religionists are seen as crackpots.

I have never much cared for the infinite punishment for finite sin belief, even in Christian scriptural terms.

I tend to interpret Biblical Christianity in more of a universalist manner.

I certainly agree, in terms of Biblical Christianity, that one must profess faith in Jesus to be saved as you have quoted; however Biblical Christianity also rather includes the notion that everyone above the earth on the earth and below it will eventually do this.

I know your main primary objective of being on Hubpages is to reach everyone with the gospel of Jesus Christ. But may I suggest that you put long threads such as this one in a hub. That way you give it a wider scope of outreach. Cos honestly, such threads will hardly do any good. It'll do the exact opposite. I'm not suggesting you dumb down yourself in anyway, cos I'll be last person to tell you that. However, I think you should do more hubs with the topics you start in the religion forum. Think about it, perhaps pray over it. I might be right.

Now here is another nut case? I just checked out that dude Usman with his crazy Islamic beliefs. Fundamentalists nut cases exist among Christians as well as Muslims...This is exactly the reason I don't go to Church....Any irrational blind belief leads to insanity.

You don't need a plane crashing into a skyscraper.  You could get hit by the next bus in your own little town.  You could trip and fall in your shopping center and die.  So get out there and live, don't waste too much time typing out scriptures.  You could be having fun instead and not worrying about fearing God. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE, then according to that new bible it will happen for you.  Then you won't have to worry about saving the world and getting everyone else to believe they need to be saved.  See - when you have changed so will they be changed. That's the laws of the secret - the new bible.  Hey presto, you will manifest it just by changing yourself.

I know that people who post this kind of thing mean well, based on their own beliefs.  Still, there's an arrogance to implying that everyone else in the world doesn't realize that any of us may not be here tomorrow.  Most people are quite aware that they, or those they love, may not be here tomorrow.  It didn't take something as anomalous as September 11 to have that concept in their head.  The world has always had natural disasters, diseases, and all the other things that take away life.  With the exception of children, people would have to have non-functioning brains not to notice that there is no guarantee about tomorrow.

Everyone (regardless of his beliefs) processes this reality in his own way.  I really don't think using the acts of a bunch of evil, demented, people on September 11 is the best way to make the point that there is no guarantee of tomorrow.  There are a lot more "routine" and less "dramatic" things that go on all the time that tell us that.  We don't all need something that "big and dramatic" to "wise us up".  If there is a God I don't think He would appreciate people using violent criminal acts as a way of speaking on His behalf.

I find this rather peculiar, Earnestshub and Paraglider, read a post from DeaneMc almost 2 days ago and you were offended by her testimony, but instead avoiding her so-called offensive words, they read and replied to her second forum post, it seems they are looking to be "offended" if they don't like what she has to say don't read it, don't insult her and degrade her beliefs. What does that do? She has a right to her faith as do you.  By now you have figured out what she believes you obviously disagree, so move on.

I responded to the post when I saw it this morning. Deane has written many posts saying we're all going to hell. (Except her and her church, of course). I don't take kindly to being threatened, nor to being so disrespected that I'm only fit for eternal fire and immortal worms. Holders of such foul beliefs should be held to account.

Paraglider- You nailed it. I have been told earlier that some of my beliefs like Karma/Reincarnation (of which I am not absolutely sure) are Satan/Demon possessed beliefs and my Grandpa's soul would be eaten by worms(when he was a very simple good man). I wonder how a child molesting priest who claims that God has forgiven there sins gets the ticket to heaven and my grandpa would be condemned for eternity in hell mad I hope people learn to be respectful of others just as much as they would like to be respected themselves. smile

Mike there is a huge difference between "I'm saved, hallelujah!" and "You're going to burn!" One is a personal faith which I'll leave well alone. The other is an attack. And an extremely arrogant one.

Hell N0posted 14 years agoin reply to this

There are testimonies and there is spiritual pornography.  By suggesting that anyone will go to a place called hell for eternity is difinately the latter.  Now regardless of how hell is defined it is unscriptural and the word eternal does not belong in any bible.  My hubs show scriptural truths not known by a lot of people.  So regardless of your beliefs, you can know that the bible cannot be used as a defense of such a lousy doctrine as hell.

  14. earnestshub profile image84
    earnestshubposted 14 years ago

Any hub that condemns me for not holding the same belief as the hubber is gonna hear from me. I do not like being told I am going in hell because I don't follow a particular religion. Don't tell me what to believe in, don't tell me there is only one god, yours or that I will rot in hell because you think so.It is arrogant beyond belief to tell others they must believe what you do or suffer and be outcast. The argument starts the moment some bible basher gets the "you musts"

There's no doubt that 9/11 was a terrible thing, but unfortunately its only one more thing on the list of how badly humans treat other humans.

Go to google and look up "air raids"...specifically the air raids of the allies on Dresden, Germany in 1945, the air raids on London by the Nazis and the atomic bomb attacks on Japan.  More people were killed in each of those raids than on 9/11.

9/11 was not special and God wasn't trying to teach us a lesson or punish us for not going to church and compared to the above-mentioned air raids that occured in WWII, it was merely a small-scale crime.
